  1. I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place, but way back in August/September I discovered the scope used on the SE-14R. Here's a link to my discovery thread on the RPF. https://www.therpf.com/forums/threads/se-14r-rexim-trooper-blaster-pistol-scope-prop-discovery.299904/ I can make replicas, so PM me on the RPF if you're interested.
  2. Nice work! This has always been my idealized trooper. When I think of Stormtroopers, I picture this one. Can you share more about how you reworked the scope and mount on the blaster? Sent from my VS996 using Tapatalk
  3. Yeah, I really hope they didn't claim that Ainsworth made all the props for ANH. There's a real stinky old can of worms surrounding this subject, and I hope it can remain closed. I'm glad they followed through and that you're happy with what you got. I reckon that's what matters most here. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  4. How about one of those and a Rebel Alliance one, too
  5. Link spreaders may help in this situation. The angles you have to approach the ring may inhibit that, though. Never actually tried, myself. But I do have a pair of link spreaders. They're awesome!
  6. Looks like the ab may be running a little low.
  7. Copy that! Boots came this week, I didn't dare glue the shins before I had the boots!
  8. I still need to finish my legs! I think I need to trim more from the backs of the thighs, and I wanna make sure my shins are as skinny as I can get them. I see a lot of troopers with disproportionate extremities, and I don't wanna make the same mistake.
  9. I had this same problem, so I used longer elastic connecting the ab and chest. Seems better now.
  10. Thanks, I'll see what I can do to move the ab up, and to close the back to kidney gap.
  11. No suggestions, eh? Well, before I trim the upper return edge from my ab plate, I've added some longer elastic connecting the ab to the chest, in an effort to allow the chest to move down over the ab more. No idea if this will work!
  12. Hey guys, figured I'd start a thread to get some help with my kit build. I posted this same thread over at the Georgia Garrison, but figured I might get a little more exposure here. Starting the thread on my phone so I can upload some photos of my progress, will edit more later on the laptop. Gonna be editing this first post a lot as I think of things to add. As you can see, the ab and kidney don't seem to want to line up properly, and the chest doesn't want to move down much at all, with the bracket setup. At the moment I've got a mixture of brackets and the Anovos recommended Velcro straps holding parts together. The brackets keep working themselves loose and falling out. Guess I should put some hot glue on the nuts! The belt's a little saggy in the front, but I think if the ab moves up a bit, or the kidney down, that'll solve that issue. The butt doesn't want to hug my hips very tight, either. I've started work on the legs, but am trying to get them to fit as close to my body as possible. I think I just need a day to work with someone who knows how all this can be made to fit better. Does anyone think that maybe some of the issues can be solved by chopping the upper return edge from the ab plate, kinda like how Luke's suit was? Would that allow the ab section to move up a bit higher to line up with the kidney? I do seem to have a bit of a short torso, but I'm 5'9" 160 lbs... Or would it help to make the elastic between the chest and ab longer, allowing for more movement?
