  1. ok, that should be everything for EI.  It's all built to Centurion, but it looks like those photo requirements are a little different when I submit them.  I have it all shot already for when that time comes. From looking at the reqs, it looks like a lot of off body shots of parts, which i can do quick no prob.

My call outs on these pics are:

    - I'm an idiot and didn't catch that my belt that holds my thighs up was showing, its usually covered, but the one time I forget is of course now

    - I'm redoing the interior eventually. It functions perfectly with not gaps, but it could be prettier. There are not shims, I'm little enough to get away with no gaps without shims.

Lemme know what you need me to switch up/tweak and if you need close ups of anything.  I went off the EI photo checklist, and going through the CRL, it's all built to red specs, but let me know if you need more pics for the blue spec approval for EI right now.

    Thanks!

    Have a good night!

  3. thanks @Dielotski and @Cricket!  will check that thread out.  my goods were in a white pillow case, clean, dry, and folded, and they still leached through the case and onto the armor.  I've switched them to sealed ziplocks now.  I'm not taking any more chances. Thankfully the belt should cover the area (lucked out), but still going to work on it.  I'll check the thread. I've just got all the dremmel polishing tools in and enough Novus to wax a boat, so fingers crossed!

  4. EXCELLENT point from Randy!  That's the first thing I thought of as well.  You can (and should) remove all the return edges from the inside of that area and use a very fine grade of sandpaper (300 grit or higher) to smooth them down.  That should remedy that immediately.

You don't have to pay a lot for a decent pair of new compression pants: https://www.amazon.com/Compression-Baselayeror-Workout-Running-Leggings/dp/B01MTLA3WQ/ref=sr_1_20?ie=UTF8&qid=1495619650&sr=8-20&keywords=men+black+compression+pants

Yeah, Randy nailed it.  I just looked at my thighs and they are pretty rough.  Since I'm going for centurion and its my first build I was super paranoid about cutting too much of anything off.  I pulled the thighs way up on the last troop to fix the armor bite on the back leg, and where the holes are is where the top edges of the thighs are a little chewed and could be rounded off and smoothed out.  I was thinking cod piece, but it's all the thighs. That was the change between last weekend and this weekend was the placement of those.  Thanks Joseph and Randy!  (and for $7, i just popped another pair of pants in my cart from your link. backups are always good)  Thanks gents!

  5. That's weird. I float a few pairs, ok 3 and I've got over 30 troops on my Nike Pro including a few parades and nothing wrong at all. Even UnderArmor holds up nice. If you have a return edge on the thighs it is definitely rubbing or even snagging to make a hole like that. How about a picture of your thighs. Inside and out. You definitely want to fix this. Even cheap compression wear would end up costing you big dollars.

I didn't think about the thighs. I'm an idiot. I know I can probably sand those down and round them off a bit more.

  6. Sooo after only three troops in them, my pants are shredded.

We did a parade last weekend (about a mile and a half) and they were torn to shreds after. We did special olympics and an art show the week before and they were totally fine.  They are Nike Pro Combat so I figured they'd be decent but they are totaled.  What does everyone like for undersuit pants?  I checked my armor and I've got the edges sanded down pretty well on the edges of the cod/back so they are smooth, but they destroyed this fabric.  It looks like these seams are perfectly in the wrong place for trooping.

  7. Joseph showed you a great way to get rid of the armor bite.  If you do something like that it should get rid of that problem.  Also make sure you take some sandpaper to it and smooth it out nicely.  You will realize that when you start trooping in your armor there will always be tweaks that need to be had.  I am constantly making improvements.

Anyway I cannot confirm what color grey that Anovos has used on their helmet.  Most people use Humbrol Admiral grey for their frown and ab button plate.  But I do not know if this is the same shade with the anovos set.

Thanks, I appreciate it.  I used the Humbrol #5 Gray for the ab plate. I painted a small piece of scrap and the color is almost the exact same.  My teeth are pretty clean and I only needed to clean up one spot so I'm trying not to repaint them all if I can prevent it.  Thanks for the advise guys, it helps alot. Going to make the last few tweaks and submit thurs/fri probably.  Picked up my blaster today and switching a few things over to snaps from velcro (now that I have it all fit) so in the home stretch!

  8. A couple noob centurion questions here...

    1. I've got everything built to all of the Centurion requirements and getting ready to submit.  I did two troops on Saturday so I'm making small tweaks now to things.  Only issue I have is a gnarly armor bite on my back right thigh.  I was pretty gunshy about trimming/rounding them off in the first place, so wanted to ask what the expectation/requirement of these is. Most of my buddies aren't centurion so they weren't sure.  If I cut the half moon into all the way to the far right so it goes to the corner (and I shorten the corner a little bit), that will fix the hot spot digging in.  I don't need to do it on the other leg, unless I should to so that they are perfectly symmetrical.

    2. The extra tooth on the helmet (Anovos helmet) can somebody confirm that is the same gray as the button plate gray?

    any help is appreciated!

    Thanks

    Todd
