  1. I cut out two 'spade' shaped washers, painted and glued. I was going to just re-glue the old selector switch, but decided to make a new one. This time I took a flat head screw, dremeled the flat head gap a little wider, cut a plastic piece to resemble the switch, epoxied them together. I re-primered the areas, and added the appropriate paint scheme.
  2. Some fine tuning... I have been wanting to fix the grip/handle. I have been hesitant on this because I just was not sure how it was going to turn out. I thought I saw a build with somebody smoothing out the grip on a hasbro build but have not been able to find it. I also noticed: 1. The trigger was a little thick. 2. I did not have the little sideways 'spade' washer on the back end of the folding stock. 3. This model does not have the indention located where the grip and the folding stock connect. 4. My selector switch placement was a bit high. I sanded the outline of the handle, cut the trigger with a blade, and sanded an indention on the top of the grip by the folding stock.
  3. Thanks. Yes, I was surprised as well. I know that the Rubies' armor (costume) is not well reputable here but I think their Rebels blaster is well worth the $$. IMO they did a good job on this representation. It would have be even better if it came with the iconic 'pew, pew'.
  4. I enjoyed your other builds. They helped me with my build. I am loving this thread. Thanks. Great job Richard.
  5. Please count me in if any more become available. Thanks in advance.
  6. I was on another anovos thread where there is much talk about the frown. My question is : If we choose to leave the frown and do nothing to it, will this frown issue hinder us from reaching EIB / Centurion (granted that the rest of the armor is up to specs.)? I was given this advice: "That's a good question for Tony (ukswarth) since as one of the FISD Deployment Officers he approves EI and Centurion awards. I would head over to his build thread and ask him." Am I posting this in the correct thread? Thanks.

  9. I like the E6000 you have plenty of time before it solidifies, and for the most part can be taken apart. Has anyone use the LOCtite epoxy? Has anyone used it for an Amour build?
  10. Adding details... I was looking at the FISD E11 Blaster Reference thread and I like how the folding stock has the holes drilled into it. Since there is not much detail underneath on this blaster model, I wanted to add this detail to mine. I was going to drill all the way through and wanted to put the pipe inside, but since I have already glued the blaster up, I will only be drilling a shallow hole. This would have been great if only I would have caught it when I had the blaster open. I went back and looked at the photos of the open blaster and it appears there is a compartment that a pipe can fit into right below the barrel (PVC) pipe. It still turns out nice. And with paint...
  11. Glad to hear you started back on your E-11. Honored to read that I helped. Good luck. Let me know if I can help in anyway. Looking forward to your build thread.
  12. That would be some fun mods. I guess using the firing mechanisms from the NERF first order stormtrooper blaster would come in handy... haha
  13. Thanks. Funny you mention that. I have been looking at the grip and I am still researching that topic. I saw a build that I wanted to try for the grip and pattern but now I cant seem to find the link I liked. Thanks again.
  14. Mahalo plenty. That is a great compliment. Post your build. I would love to see it.
  15. Thanks Ian. Man, builds are too addicting. I caught another little something to add. I will have that up in a bit.
  16. Chris, Ian, Joseph, Mark, and Richard, thanks for your keen eyes, advice and PMs. I have some pics to share as soon as I finish the upload with photobucket. Thanks again!
  17. Thanks Ian. Mark had mentioned the clearing bolt as well. I will take care of that. Also, good call on the magazine. I will have that soon. I hope the little birdie flys in soon... Thanks again!!
  18. Hello, I am having a couple of issues. 1. I sent a PM and then I wanted to look at other posts so I clicked on the tool bar "Home"/"Forums" etc. and it automatically logs me out. 2. I sent a PM (successfully) and then tried to send a second PM and I received the "Sorry, you don't have permission for that" message and notice I was logged out. Does the site time us out? Anyone else have/had similar issue? Advice appreciated. Thanks!
  19. I ordered at the end of April putting me at the shipment time frame of Feb. 15 - Mar. 1. Like many, I have not received any tracking number but... I had a knock at my door this morning, dogs barking ready to brake down my fence, children calling me to come quick someone is at the door... Surprise, surprise, surprise. Mr. Fedex was at my door with my Anovos BBB! The whole family was celebrating, pretty funny. You would think it was Christmas morning. Fedex was wondering what was in the box. I told him and he said he delivered one of these boxes a few blocks from me and some more yesterday a few miles down the road in Torrance, CA. With that said, I am in So California, Southbay area. Any troopers near by please message me. Armor building party?? He did say signature is required. He is not leaving boxes on door steps. The other box he delivered by my house was his second visit because they were not home yesterday. To everyone, keep your eyes open Fedex is coming to town. I received my boots, and just finished my blaster. (Please check out my build, comments welcomed and appreciated My Addictive E-11 build 1st timer. Possible EIB/Centurion approval?) Now it is Armor time!
