7. Just thought I'd share this. I bought this book, Star Wars Imperial Handbook: A Commander's Guide before starting on my journey to the 501st as I enjoy background information that expands on the Star Wars Universe. It is a great account of the different arms of the Imperial Military, including the army, navy, and especially a great section on the Stormtroopers. There are handwritten comments from the Rebels, as this book is set up as a captured copy reviewed after the Battle of Endor, but overall it provides a great source for background on the Imperial Military organization. FYI, this is listed as a Legends book, so may not be considered canon. Costs $ 20 USD, published in 2015. It is a great reference and fun read! Jim

 8. I was wondering what the base armor (ANH, ESB, ROTJ) is for doing a Heavy Weapons trooper?

Also, any ideas of where to get the extra gear such as back pack, etc?

Thanks for any input!

Jim
 9. Just put in my order also, Rob was very helpful with his feedback.

Probably getting my kit around December.

Jim
 10. Thanks for the feedback. Is the Heavy Weapon Trooper based on the ANH armor?

Also, does anyone have a preference as to what armor type they have?
 11. Hello,
I am just starting on the road to getting my armour, put in an order to Rob at RTMod, but had a general question.

I ordered ROTJ armor, just based on the pictures I could find, but was wondering if anyone had a list that compared the different styles of armour ( ANH, Hero Stunt, etc). I think I still have a lot of time until the order gets processed so wanted to check my options.

Thanks for any feedback!

Jim
 12. Spencer,
Thanks for the feedback . So you think Mark's larger size kit would accommodate my size?

Jim
 13. Hello,
I really appreciate all of the information on the forums, and personal messages, got a general direction on how to go, but was looking for more specific input.
Based on the fact I am a bit larger than the original Stormtrooper (actual 43 inch waist, measuring tapes are a cold shock of reality), and reading the forums, RT-Mod seems like the way to go (also being in Canada easier to ship), but AM also may work. A bit hesitant on which to get.

I originally wanted to get the full kit from Authentic Props, but just not sure even with shims it would fit my frame. Feedback I got was it fit best for 38 inch waist.

So a few questions I would appreciate to have help with, as I really want to get an order in (as with Rt-mod I may not be in armour until late 2016).

1. Has anyone used the Authentic Props armour with a larger body frame? Works?
2. AM or RT- Mod? Heard great things about both.
2. What is the difference between types of armour (ANH Stunt, Hero, ESB, ROTJ ). Any recommendations?
3. Where to get the parts not included in the kits?

-Under-suit,
-Boots,
-Gloves,
-Blaster
-Holster
-Neck Seal
-Non-plastic belt components. Ie. canvas belting

4. Any accessories that might help, or other suggestions?

I want to get going on this as I am sure it will be a long time waiting to get the kit, but want to do it right.

Thanks for any advice!

Jim
 14. I am also looking to get my armour, so would like to join in if there is a gathering of the troops on armour matters. I'm from the east side of the GTA, Durham region. Just a little hesitant on which to purchase as I (like many others in the New Year) am trying to get down from my current waist size.

Cheers!

Jim
