You could just email Anovos regarding this. I'm sure they could clarify.
-
More of a wait time though. :/ But that's good they are willing to help you out. At least their customer service seems decent.

That's just down right deplorable. I almost barfed when I looked at this.
-
Ah okay. Well if I end up going that route, I'll hit you up.

Looks pretty good overall. The addition of a working cocking handle is a nice feature too.

He means if they're charging you $2000+ to build the kit Mark will do it for less. Heck if that's the case I'll jump on the Build-A-Kit band wagon.
With that said we know this is NOT the case. A completely assembled TK is $1,800. I've heard the $2,500 mentioned before also but I believe it's for a Collector's Version.
Thanks for the clarification lol..
And are you sure? Everyone seems to be speculating that the price will be very high for the new FOTK and completed one.
Here's the video where they mention the price: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeIKvF7LzaM

Send fhem to me. I'll do them for $1500
What do you mean? A completed kit or you'll do the kit itself for 1500$?

I too am curious who/ where you purchased the armour from. I only know of one- two places to get it right now.

Worst joke ever.
So bad that it's almost funny

I watched a video on youtube by Tested and the Anovos rep mentioned the suit would cost 2500$- 3000$ fully finished, or that's what they were thinking of pricing it at. Just if any of you guys wanted to know.. Better start saving.

That link doesn't work. Probably because I am not in their group though.
I requested to join.

Welcome fellow newbie.
Thanks man!
Hello Sam and welcome to the FISD!
Appreciate it. After seeing the vast knowledge that exists on this forum, I'm glad I joined!

Not sure about FO armor, Sam, but I am in the same boat as you... 5'10 155, and my regular TK armor fits pretty well, (see photo). I initially thought that wearing a compression suit would highlight my lean frame, but the armor takes care of "bulking me up". With the FO armor, I believe the gaskets and such will take care of that even better.
Thanks for the photo reference! Good to know I have a chance at looking good in a set of armour.
OT TK are really small and compact. Even at 170lbs my armor is really snug. So you'll look great in it.
FOTK armor is a different story. Just about everybody ive met that has it equates to wearing football pads. It's very bulky and leaves little room for modification for shorter or thinner troopers. But that hasn't stopped people from trying. In due time armor makers will start making armor that can be fitted to most people.
That's a bit discouraging since I have been working towards building/ buying the FOTK. I'm hoping I can find a way to make a kit look good on me.
If all else fails, I am also interested in the OG Snowtroopers so I would likely go with that from someone like Anovos possibly.

It seems unacceptable to me how much quality and control problems there are with these helmets... I feel I should have waited to get the figerglass one, even if it is 800$ versus 250$..

Mines being printed now and I'm just waiting to get the parts. Eager to start work on it.

I liked following your build on the Captain Phasma project. Looks like it requires a lot of work but in the end, looks really cool.

I've been doing some searching around, and I've noticed a lot of posts (especially in sales) about TFA belts, boots, blasters, a few buckets, and other such accessories... But little to nothing for the actual armor kits. Anyone know who'd building them, and if anyone is selling yet? Of course there's ANOVOS, but I've heard ugly rumors about their kit prices.. eesh.
(My apologies if this is in the wrong board - this seemed like the best place for a discussion)
Supposed to be some guy named Jim from the Phillipines who makes a kit for 800$ = 100$ shipping on average. Apparently a good guy and has good quality stuff. I'm not exactly sure how to get into contact with him though, but I do believe is is on the forums.
And the price with Anovos isn't the only bad thing. It's the wait list. There's so many people who want it and are going to pre-order it that I won't be surprised if there's a year- year and a half wait if you take too long to buy it.
-
Okay. I sent him an email about it. The store isn't opened again until January 4th according to his site. So not sure if he will reply back to me or not before then. And the blaster I am getting 3D printed. There's the SLS files available and pinned in this section.

Mine arrived today. ABS on the left, Fiberglass (shot with automotive paint) right. Not sure if it's worth $250 but definitely a viable non-LFL replacement trooping bucket, especially since it literally 3.5lbs + lighter.
Nice photo reference. Both look pretty similar. Hoping mine comes without to many flaws.

I have a pair of Medium FOTK (black/white) "alpha" gloves "for sale"... and a pair of untrimmed spats.
Are those the Alpha Anovos ones? I'm kind of looking for a pair that don't require modding on my end.
-
Awesome thanks! I am following that build now on Facebook.

I won't be buying anything anytime soon so here's mine. Expires January 3rd. Have fun with it.

Just curious what people's thoughts are on the new Snow trooper and whether you plan on building one?

Personally I think they could look a bit better and aren't as cool as the old snow troopers but still could be a decent build.

I'm tempted to do one after my regular new order stormtrooper is done.

If you have a friend who owns one you can get it made. But some companies might not so you have to look around.

Anovos FO helmet lense replacement
in TFA Stormtrooper
Posted
I bet you could cut a tinted motorcycle lens into the same shape and use it if it was really that bad. Would require some work but I saw someone mention it was how they built their helmet lens.
