I have elastic loops on the thigh armor that go around a nylon waist belt. I also use black nylon police duty belt suspenders to hold up the belt. You can get them on Amazon here:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F4HGJMC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I cross the suspender straps in front instead of wearing them straight up and down, as that keeps the straps from showing at the shoulder armor gaps.

Also, that's 1. on collins dictionary.
here's 2
duplicate, facsimile; imitation.
You definition makes my point for me even more clearly. A Facsimile or Imitation, is NOT the real thing, and does NOT imply that it is made of the same materials. They are by anyones definition COPIES. Anything you make that LOOKS like a blaster, no matter what it is made of, qualifies as a Facsimile, Imitation, Copy, or guess what, a REPLICA.
Let's try to exercise a little common sense here, rather that keep making the same complaint over and over even after it has been thoroughly explained and justified.

But that is exactly my point, based is the keyword.
Based
verb
1.
use (something specified) as the foundation or starting point for something.
meaning it has to originate from the real or replica firearm for the blaster to be approved.
Hi Gerard,
The word that you are misinterpreting is REPLICA.
While you have your dictionary out, you should also look up that word:
replica |ˈreplikə|
nounan exact copy or model of something, esp. one on a smaller scale: a replica of theEmpire State Building.
• a duplicate of an original artistic work.
Note the wording "an exact copy or model". This does not mean it has to be made out of the same materials. A model of the Empire State Building does not have to be made of steel and concrete to be a replica.
The "scratch-built look-alike" you want to make is allowed and described quite accurately by the current CRL wording.
You should spend a little time reading thru the forums here and you will see hundreds of examples of how other members around the world are making their blasters and what they are making them out of (many of which are scratch-built). That will show you a great many ways to go about making your own Replica.
Good luck with your project and remember that there are always many good folk here ready to help you out along the way!

The nomex flight gloves are great - my hands don't sweat in them and they fit and feel great.
I also glued the JustJoseph latex handguards to them so I don't have to worry about straps holding them on. But I also tried gluing the Trooperbay latex handguards to the nomex gloves and they wouldn't stick. A little bit of pressure and they came right off. I don't know what the difference in material is, but the JustJoseph ones glued on and stayed.
I did the same thing, I glued JustJoseph hand guards onto my nomex gloves with E6000 and let the glue set under pressure for two days. No problems at all with them so far.
I did put a piece of cardboard inside the gloves when gluing to keep the inside from sticking together.

I too have an RS made suit and I was able to keep the thighs higher up by adding suspenders to the belt they provide. I got a set of heavy duty black nylon police suspenders on Amazon that work really well and have big loops for the belt to go thru.

Great looking blaster! Really like the finish you put on it.
I also like the blaster stand in your pics, may I ask where you acquired that?
Well done, looking forward to the range video!

Thank you so much Andrew!
And thank you for the centurion tips. I will get to work on those right away, hopefully you will see my application before too long!

The counter metal parts look amazing!
I second that! My Hengstler has a Plastic socket on it, and I will be looking to replace that with one of these now!

Had another photo session today and was able to improve my photos a great deal. Hopefully everything is clear now!

Looking good Trooper! Don't forget to paint the screws black on your T.D.
Done and pics updated! Thank you!

We need to get some pictures of everyone scopes and figure out all the different screws,,,, ill go thru my collection tomorrow ... Lol
We have a mission..
Okay, here are the screws from my 1943 M38. Slotted cheese head with a shoulder just like the others.
There is an interesting glossy black coating on the tip of the threaded end on both, looks more like an epoxy type material than paint.

So I FINALLY received my Amazon pre-order for this yesterday. I think it has a really nice look from the front and I have no trouble with wearing it as others have experience (I'm a 7-1/2 hat size), although the nose guard keeps me from angling it down as far as I normally would. It seems like you just have to put it on in a different way than a regular TK bucket, buy angling it down onto your head from above while keeping it lined up straight with your head, instead of turning it sideways.
Anyway, I think it makes a really nice display piece. It's also something I can let visiting younglings play with without cringing so much.
While I don't intend to ever try to make it troopable, I think it would be fun and worthwhile to make some mods to improve accuracy. Hard to beat for the price!
Oh, final thought... The voice changer sucks, really doesn't work at all. If I mod this it'll be the first thing to go!

He made a run - i don´t know if some are left, or if he makes them on order now.
I can ask him, but before that i want to ensure that all interested know the prices are higher than the usually cheaper costuming versions.
I can´t find my own posted build pics. but ZK has made a great build too, here is his thread: http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=219538&highlight=binocular
That price range would be fine with me for an assembled and nicely weathered item of the quality you show.

So I was lucky enough to find a genuine 1943 M38 scope online!
The scope was located in New Zealand, and the owner there purchased it in Argentina, so this thing has really gotten around!
As you can see, the original paint finish is almost completely gone on the right side. I'd like to use this on my Sterling E-11, but would need to paint it in order for it to fit in with the finish on the rest of the blaster.
Does anyone have any thoughts or recommendations about painting this?

No, no electronic game - cast from a real Simrad military rangefinder. Iirr it was around 250€, but might be a little more or less.
Is someone making those for sale?

Nice blaster Scalawag!
As someone who has owned four real MG-34s over the past 30+ years, let me say that you really nailed the weathering on this. It looks completely authentic to me.
Unfortunately even though I know the MG-34 very well, I have only a superficial knowledge of the DLT-19 conversion, but it looks like you've also done a stellar job of updating those details as well!
Please don't be put off by occasional brief comments here, this is a great place to share your work and find helpful info. I can't begin to describe how much help I've been able to source here. Also remember that this is a world-wide site, and mannerisms of speech and syntax can vary greatly from country to country. In some places it can be considered quite normal to make brief comments that may seem terse in other locations or cultures, but are not actually intended to be rude.
In any event I just wanted to congratulate you on a fantastic piece of work and I hope that you will continue to post your projects here.
