  1. Hey Brendan. Got some solid advice from the troopers above me. I would suggest practice using the Dremel on some spare ABS plastic if you never used one before as it can get a little tricky if you are not careful.

An Exacto knife and some Curved lexan scissors can go a long long way for your build but does take a little longer to complete the cutting/trimming.

Both methods are great. It will come down to you and your skills with a dremel. Good Luck!:salute:

  2. Hey Robert,

Here is what my calves looked like when I was sizing them up. It is always good to trim little at a time to get the perfect fit. But ultimately, this was the end result. Trim little at a time. You want the armor to be snug. Not too tight or too lose. Hope these help.

  3. You could try and shorten up your elastic that connects from the bell to the bridge. I had to do that. and works wonders. I have seen troopers use Canvas/non-Elastic webbing but prove to be difficult to attach when suiting up (still capable of doing so though) How many inches is your elastic? What does it look like from the front?

Another trick that you may look into that I used, is attaching Velcro to your white webbing and the plastic shoulder strap to keep those two pieces together. Hope this helps. :salute:

  4. Hey Paul,

Sorry to hear that things are not working out. As others mentioned, we are here to help. If you do decide to re-visit this fun little project, post up a build thread and post some pictures. A number of us will lend you advice to help you along the journey! All the best! :salute:

  5. Imperial Attache Outstanding Achievement Award

In order to recognize those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty as members of this program, the FISD would like to announce a new accolade: The Attached Outstanding Achievement Award ribbon, (as seen above) will be bestowed to those who consistently exemplify the meaning of Imperial Attaché, which will be added above their EIB or Centurion badge.

This distinction will go to those who are not only consistently assisting present Troopers but helping future Troopers on their white armor journey as well. This includes greeting first-time posters, offering advice and guidance, assisting with EIB and Centurion levels and staying active on the FISD and/or their local boards***. Recipients are considered on the basis of a combination of those contributions and been an Attaché for at least one full year. These recipients are awarded based on going above and beyond their Imperial Attaché duties.

This Thread will be Pinned and Locked to display the recipients of this award and serve as a reminder to us all of their dedication and unquestioned loyalty to the FISD and our mission. Thank You, Attaches. :salute:

I’m glad I found this. I am gluing my last forearm together and noticed the glue squeezed out in some spots under the cover strip, and a little bit was still coming out of the tube as I was pulling the tube away, and got on some spots on the forearm. I was a little nervous as I read on another board that E-6000 has a chemical that melts plastic. Is that true?

If you are using true E-6000, you should be fine. My armor is about 90% E-6000 and still in one piece ;) So it hasn't melted anything with me trooping 2 years with it. E-6000 is very durable and forgiving if you make a mistake.

So if you see extra squeezing out, you can simply peel off the excess once it dries, or wipe it clean.
