  1. Hi all!  Jedi from the Mountain Base here in Colorado that has trooped a fair share with my fam in the Mountain Garrison.  I've been wanting to build a TK for a while and have really gained a LOT of benefit from trooping with people prior to buying and building.  I feel like I have a lot better grasp on what to expect (wait times for armor, injuries during the build process, quirks of the assembly) than I would have without that advantage.  I've read countless build threads and watched numerous videos and it was time to just buy the darn armor!  BBB is coming from AP and I've already been doing some projects (Hasbro Hyperfirm conversion among them) and gathering supplies.  Can't wait for BBBD!

In the meantime I'm enjoying trooping with MB/MG.  Figured I should do the formal introduction here, I do most of my posting on the MG board.  But the resources here are INCREDIBLE!

  2. For the belt is there a possibility we would be able to drill out the rivets on the top two and then be good for approval?

I know a trooper who accidentally riveted their belt with top and bottom and prior to approval was corrected on this issue.  They drilled out the top two rivets and were approved that way.  Is there a possibility this could be done with the Anovos belt thereby saving the need to buy a new one?  Legitimately curious about the finer details of this question.

  3. Hi!  My name is Dave and I am a member of the Rebel Legion with the Mountain Base out of Colorado.  We frequently troop with the Mountain Garrison.  I am actually working on a TK right now and my daughter is working on a Tusken build.  I would encourage you to go to the Mountain Garrison website and sign up for the forums there!  There is a meet and greet coming up in January as well as an armor party.  These are GREAT events that you can attend even if you aren't a 501st member!  So you can meet people who are members, see armor up close, get help with building your armor and all kinds of GREAT resources and new friendships!

Check out their board at www.mg501.com/forum/ you don't have to be a member to sign up.  Introduce yourself there and then come out to the meet and greet and the armor party.  It's a great way to get some hands on experience and some in person help.  You'll find that everyone there is just as cool as all these fine folks that have been helping you so far!

I'm bobafret on that board.  Hope to see you soon!
