  1. Luckily with the snap system I can use 1 2 or 3 if need be.
  2. Where or who is selling TD metal clips at a reasonable cost. I need 2 sets and can't pony up $75-$80 for them.
  3. Yeah. I figured that out after the fact, and that's one thing I'll be fixing. I did manage to cut the cod extension off before I installed the rivet. I've still seen a couple guys pass centurion here lately with the AM2 butt extension still in place though.
  4. I might go back and trim the left ear a little more, not sure just yet. I also am not completely happy with how high the brow turned out but its stuck now so I'll live with it. This is my first build and for some reason the body and helmet scared me less than the limbs did.
  5. I seem to have started exactly opposite of most people, jumping into the torso and helmet first. I'm having minor problems with a few straps( made them too short) but nothing hard to fix. What do you guys think so far?
  6. When I started mocking up my helmet I noticed there was a huge difference in the tube sizes from the back piece to the face piece. Has anyone else had this problem? And what is the best way to correct it?
  7. Thank you. Email can be stupid sometimes, I figured that's all it was.
  8. I sent one yesterday but I sent it to the contact email I believe. Maybe it went to spam who knows. I was not meant to sound upset or worried I just wanted to know you guys got it that's all. I'm sure you're a reputable group or people wouldn't praise you so much.
  9. It has. I'm just one of those people that like confirmation from the business.
  10. I placed an order with HFx a week ago. I understood there was a 7-10 day lead time but, I have never received an order confirmation nor can I get them to answer emails or Facebook PMs. Is there any other way to reach them? Or is this normal for them? I would just like a confirmation that they received my Paypal payment that's all.
  11. Not to worry. I was just giving you a back story to Mark, not trying to be dramatic.
  12. Mark is the owner of AP (Authentic Props) he's an armor builder. Nice guy also. He's just suggesting you look elsewhere even if it's not with him. He's just trying to help steer the new guy clear of any troubles. There is plenty of info about armor makers in the "read this first section"
  13. Holy smokes I just gave Trooperbay a lot of money. You're welcome
  14. Sorta makes you want to push one of the front ones like dominoes.
  15. I know I would. "Hey whatcha gonna be for halloween this year?" "A stormtrooper, same as last year, and the year before, and so on".
  16. Kits ordered, HFX E-11 and Dlt-19 ordered, Boots Ordered. Now I need a few remaining parts. I need a canvas belt, neck seal, holster, pauldron, gloves w latex armor, and Mp-40 mag pouches. (I'm building both a tk and td at the same time) Trooperbay has all these but the mag pouches. I've never ordered from him, I've heard good though. Will all these pieces from him be fine?
  17. And the feedback I'm getting from RS is that their PVC is more durable for trooping in. I'm way confused now. I have a basic understanding of plastics and understand that ABS is more flexible but the PVC should be tougher. Lucky for me I am very cautious when it comes to my collectibles toys, clothing, whatever. I can seem to make almost anything last forever. I just want the best there is and I don't mind paying for it. But I want to make a wise and informed decision before spending that much cash. The PVC just looked cool to me because its brighter. My biggest concern is after I have it which one will be easier to repair if the need arises.
  18. Thank you TM for the input. I had wondered if the PVC would be too brittle.
  19. I've been talking with Andrea at RS for a few days now about an armor build and I believe that I'm going with the PVC option due to her suggestion that it would be more durable than the standard ABS construction plus it is whiter and shinier than ABS. My concern is will the PVC be as detailed and sharp as ABS? anyone want to chime in with their own suggestions?
  20. I'm waiting for one more reply from RS hopefully tomorrow regarding fitment to my body type. If that email is favorable then I'm go for spending this cash that's burning a hole in my bank account. Hopefully if they're correct on the delivery time frame I might have it before the release of Ep VII here in the states.
  21. I have been emailing RS Props about choices for my build. I think I've narrowed it down to the PVC option for the crisper white appearance plus they tell me the PVC is more durable. Other than that I want the screen accurate look and assembly so I can achieve at least EIB status.
  22. After a quick search I found what I originally read, EIB out of the box and centurion with minor mods. Also sorry if I posted in the wrong section I'm new here and still learning what all the forum sections are for.
  23. I'm planning on buying my very first armor very soon and I'm almost sure that I read somewhere on here that RS Props commissioned full builds were centurion approved out of the box. Am I correct in that or did I misread something in all the forum post I've tried to absorb over these last few weeks? I'm new here and just don't want to order armor that costs so much if I'm going to have to modify it to get approval. I'm buying because A. I'm impatient and B. I want nice quality. Plus I work so much that I really don't have time to build right now. Thank you all
