5. Hi Steve Me again . Just Read that I need to update my status as I've got my TK number now .but I don't know my Id link as there was a weenie up somewhere along the line ,as I only found out I'd been approved after four and half weeks of waiting ,I spoke to my GML and he said that I'd been approve the day after I applied, but I didn't receive the email for 501 and still haven't so don't know my link . I also check my spam emails and it's not there either , the email address That my GML told me had been submitted with my application is correct. How would I find out my id link cheers Andy

8. Yeah cheers for the advice ,feedback is my big worry mounting it like this ,I've heard of people using throut mics and thought this might work ? but never seen one in use , has anyone tryed one ? As for the fit it's quite tight if you stick your lips right out you can touch the speaker mounting .
9. Hi everyone just thought I share an idea of try to mount a speaker behind the frown on my lid to give the impression of the voice coming from my mouth .The speaker will only use the centre two holes leaving the rest for ventilation . Just a couple of questions someone might be able to help with ,not having done any audio stuff before would the way im mounting the speaker in a quite tight space affect the cone movement ,so would I need to to allow vents behind the speaker to help this ,Is one speaker gone to enough its 10 watt .And as its mounted rigth in front of the mouth would a throat mic be the way to go to help with feedback . Many Thanks Andy. ------------
10. Im no expert but I would say this looks top notch .I would love to have have this .
11. Hi everyone have finished arm sections went with 20mm cover strips and i think they look ok ?,I have filled the return edges to make them look continues ,I know its not film accurate but as it my first build i feel theres a tendancy to try too hard ,and Im the kind of wierdo how has to try to do thing aswell as I can .As the film armour was pretty rough .and Im sure the purests frown and tut about what im doing (sorry) Im sure the next build will be more accurate. So have started on legs now and will let you know when there done
12. Hi Josh
I know what you mean I had a similar problem being computer Illiterate .I ended up printing off a plan and just spent a few minutes working out the size to scale up ,for me it was from memory 12.5 to 1 .But obviously that was my too the drawing I printed off . Sorry it not the answer you want but I worked for me ,you can check my build here ,best of luck
13. Hi Paul pictures of the trimmed parts and fitting at 20mm as you can see my hand just fits through . and here I've lapped joint down to 15mm abd it really hard togetmy hand through , if i use the 20mm cover strip will this prevent me from being able to get Centurion clearance ? Advice please Thanks Andy
14. Thanks Paul
Yeah hands are large I wear Xxl gloves which are snug as can't find any bigger.
Spent this evening work on the forearms ,trimmed them up properly and adjusted to 20mm strips can get hand through but it's still tight and does stretch armour in shape so will leave it at that as I don't want to stress joint when it's glued. Will post picture when it all done .
Many thanks
15. Now how funny is this it's your TK WIP that's inspired me to want to try for a Centurion build on my TK and your asking me if you have the skills I would say without a doubt ,as for the UKG you won't find any more info there I'm afraid . But if you want to go for it the first thing I would change is the type of wood ,I didn't think once I started It would get so involved in research and details .I would change the type of wood used I would have gone for a tulip or white wood where the grain is less evident when painted . If I can help let me know
Thanks Andy
16. Thankyou very much it means alot, I started a build tread on the UK Garrison and posted a few pictures but did'nt get any reply so assumed it was'nt close enough so didnt bother taking any more pictures, but here are the ones i took Thanks Andy
17. Thanks alot Joseph, I have been and checked this out and it just what i need to help me on my way. Quick up date made a start today on the arms . Made up a sanding jig to get a good butt joint on the arm sections but have a few question and a couple of issues. first I've quite large hands and forearms so on the forearms I have only just trim off the molded edge on the sides and are quite snug on my arms and also having trouble trying to get my hands through the opening ,I now I've still to trim the wrist end but cant get close to getting my hand through without seperating the peices ,and I quess you would normally put your gloves on before your forearms when getting kitted up which will only make thing worce. So if need be can you use a velcro to join the forearm and still get Centurion Clr .also the cover strip would need to possible be a bit wider would this be ok . And can someone check my tim lines for these peices please im sure your sick of this question but you cant put it back once you cut it off, And finally the shoulder bell looks like it will need to streched out a bit as it wont sit over my shoulder .I did this with my old FX kit and used boiling water but these bells have alot more form to them so I would assume more differcult to do .Has anyone tryed and how did it go ? Many Thanks Andy
18. Hi sorry this post is very disjointed, i hope it makes sense im new and not very good with computers. Thanks
19. Hello everyone while I've been waiting for my TK kit to turn up I thought I would have a go at making a DLT ,Its nearly all wood except the barrel which is 1"and quarter waste pipe I also used three quarter ally rod for an internal barrel to give the impreation of the real MG34 ,so you can look down the barrel. would be great if this is good enough to use to troop with when i get my armour cleared( please let me know) Thanks for taking a look Andy
20. Hello everyone Just taken delivery of my big brown box on Friday ,all unpacked and chaecked and it looks fantastic. So big thanks to Paul Im so glad i went for the 2mm it feels so solid .So time to begin , hoping to get going later today once I've finished with work stuff. I would like to try to do as much of the other bit myself as possible with my skill set, so have order boots (will need dyeing) , holster and rivet kit from the Garrison Depo .The rest I would like to make and have made a neck seal (see below for pic) .Does it make the grade ? .And have the canvas ready for the belt once i can get a sizing with me in the armour . I would love to be able to get this build to a centurion level so will be requiring alot of your expert advice. Many thanks for taking a look will keep you posted.
