1. I care to be one of the daft people who has a PS4 and XBOX One. Currently catching up on a few last gen games I missed and picked up cheaply for the PS3, before getting back into the new stuff soon (Looking at Lego Star Wars, if it's any good). Still, may as well post them here. My gamertags are: PSN - darkblitz94 XBL - darkblitz22 (need to renew my subscription for that)
2. Thanks, helps a lot. I imagine all the edges are left sharp, rather than rounded to the front and back.
3. I've asked about it, since a scratch appeared on the chest plate. If there is any minor damage, a lot of the advice is to leave it. If there are marks on the pieces, you can get stuff designed specifically for freshening up your armour.
4. I currently have my 2mm ABS (Capped) kit trimmed, but with some rather rough edges that require sanding. However, I don't know what grit of sandpaper to use, that would do the job but not damage the plastic.
5. I'm a complete introvert, who much prefers a quiet night in gaming than going out drinking or partying. I do get on well with people and come out of my shell once I get to know them, but on first encounter I'm always shy and rather awkward (which can be a bit frustrating). I love any kind of full body costuming, as it does give you a degree of anonymity and confidence to do what you normally wouldn't in public. Although not with trooping, I have full body builds from other costuming groups, and have performed in public with them. Always remember being frightened of performing in a busy Glasgow city centre for the first time. Then when suited up, I just went into a trance and played the character, and did things you couldn't pay me to do in public out of costume. I imagine, I'll be the same when trooping sometime in the future. Being an introvert involved in these kinds of hobbies gets very interesting when you are a spotter. I have a few stories where I nearly died of embarrassment helping costumed folk at events.
6. I am really thankful that I wasn't planning in ordering parts from outside the UK.
7. Yeah, and I would suspect the plastic handguards have a greater risk of cracking given that they would not have as much flex.
8. Well, I had a lot of difficulty with getting through the ABS with any decent precision, so Ross offered to trim it up for me and indeed did so when I met him at an event on Saturday. Apparently the leg pieces which I did the practice cuts were fine, but I was really unsure about it so glad that bit is over. I prefer to do things by hand instead of by a power tool whenever possible. It may take longer, but I prefer the extra control of doing it by hand.
9. Here's an image of the trimmed pieced before I go to sand the edges smooth, and begin considering the drilling and assembly of the limb pieces.
10. Apologies, phone glitch lead to a double post.
11. Thanks to Ross, the nightmare of kit trimming has been done with only sanding to do before assembly(photos to come later).

Now that I'm moving onto the drilling holes part. I need to know what drill power and fitting is best to get through 2mm ABS.
12. Update- Gloves are now done (sort of). Currently the handguards are not the plastic ones provided with the kit, and made out of some rubber material that should theoretically last longer without damage, but I may replace them with the ones in the kit later.
13. My username that I use pretty much everywhere, basically describes me as a person. The first part Dark reflects both my dark sense of humour, and my general shyness meaning I prefer to lurk in the shadows in some situations. Blitz comes from the moments I suddenly come out of my shell, to fiercely defend others when I feel that they are being treated poorly or unjustly. Also, both words put together make a witty little name when you consider Blitz comes from the German word for lightning.
14. Gamer, but not a PC one. Have PS4/XBox One though.
15. Hello, just realised that I had accidentally posted a build thread on the general ANH part of the forum, rather than the build subforum. Is it possible for mods to move the thread to the subforum, where it should be posted? (Thread in question - http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/37812-darkblitzs-anh-stunt-build/)
16. This is a parallel build thread to one I have in the UKG forums, as it's always beneficial to get help and tips from regular users rather than just armourers. A month in, and I haven't made too much progress so far (due to issues, I mention at the bottom of this post), and I hopefully plan to get this done before the release of Rogue One. (Note - This is a RWA kit) So far, two major parts are done - Boots and Lid However, so far I have had difficulty trimming the return edges on the pieces, using the lexan scissor and dremel method (have also tried score and snap to not much more success). However, this week I will have some hands on help with a armourer at an event, so this part should hopefully be done by this time next week, and can move onto trying to piece everything together, which I may need some guidance on.
17. Pretty clear cut in that video. It's hard enough for some to put the lid on normally, let along chuck the thing.
