Wow! Thanks alot! I really appreciate that! This has been a labor of love (and aggravation)! I'd love to be able to get this to pass 501st approval standards and be able to troop in my own hand made TK, so it says alot that everyone has been so positive on my progress thus far!

Figured it was time I throw my hat in the ring for the First Order TK I've been working on. I started this shortly after the new TKs were debuted at Celebration.
Decided to tackle this as a Pep build. The file I was working from was okay, but the dimensions were way off.
After resin coat was down and initial bondo was started, realized this was gonna take some fine tuning and a LOT of bondo!
I got the general shape done and started to apply detailing.
To apply the hex mesh, I removed the beak and had to patch the hole.
I was able to 3D print a hex mesh in PLA.
Finally have started to carve the goggles and have begun clean-up and final detailing.
Looking forward to some feedback.

Not trying to knock the kit. Just trying to understand how particular the Legion is, as I'm new to all of this!

I'm apologizing now if this has already been addressed, but I didn't have time to read through ~150, fairly long posts to get to my answer.
I was recently sent a pic of one of the Anovos First Order buckets, as I am interested in picking up a First Order kit myself. However, i noticed some significant differences between it and the pics from Celebration (which closely match the screen images from the trailers).
To me, the Anovos bucket looks wrong, but perhaps it's the camera angle. feature are more rounded than angular and the cheeks are leas pronounced. It just looks way off to me and I'd hate to spend alot of money to get something I didn't feel was very accurate. Thoughts?

My name is Greg and I am Star Wars fan in sunny Florida (Makaze squad territory). I'm very interested in getting involved with 501st. I'm currently scratch building a TK7 (aka TFA) stormtrooper and we'll see how it comes out. I was looking at the Anovos kit they are offering for $450, but it says it's geared toward 5'8" to 6'. I measure in at about 6'3". Anyone have a feel for the adjustability to go beyond 6'?

I think this might be my last primer coat!!! Fine sanding tomorrow and I should be ready for casting!!!!
