I'm in the same boat as you lovemonkey size-wise, AM was another choice for me but I only ever got a reply from RT-Mod. Might try harassing AM again...
I've had great success communicating with AM. For the most part, he's been quick and I've only had to wait maybe a day or two max for an e-mail response. FYI, I emailed his gmail account. Good luck!

I just got on the wait list for this armor. I'm 6'4" and 220 lbs., so I think it should fit great. If I get lucky, it should ship at the end of the month.

This is a great thread. So much good information and I've only read maybe half the posts!
Right now I'm leaning towards AM as I'm 6'4" and about 220 lbs (pretty slim build). I've contacted RT-MOD and they aren't taking new orders for the time being. Is AM the right choice or will it be too wide for my body type? Other than AM, I'm not really sure what other options there are for my height, although I do have a lot more reading to do.

Thanks so much for posting this. I am currently looking at armor choices and am leaning heavily towards the AM kit due to my height. This will be a great resource going forward.

Thanks for all the help in this thread. At 6'4" and about 220 lbs, I've been leaning towards the AM kit. Sounds like it should work great, unless anyone else can recommend something better.

If you have not already get in touch with the Alpine Garrison. I belonged to that garrison for about 7 years before moving. They are among the most active garrisons so there are plenty of opportunities to meet up and ask questions.
Also if you have not already read the "Getting started - Read this First" thread.

Here is one big question I have that I haven't found the answer to here yet (I've read at least a dozen pages in the types of armor thread). After buying an armor kit, what exactly needs to be done to make it get approved for the Legion?

I have been a life-long fan of the Star Wars film ever since I was a young child. That love has continued now into adulthood.
I've been wanting to join the 501st for at least a year or two but finances have always kept me back. My wife recently said I should look into joining and I've been searching these forums since. There is a lot of great information here but at times, for someone as new as myself, there is so much information it is a bit intimidating and hard to know where to start.
I'm interested primarily in Stormtrooper or Sandtrooper armor.
Anyways, glad to be here and here's hoping I can find the right armor to buy (I'm 6'4" and 220 lbs.)
