Testfit. Note that one side isn't connected so the ab is crooked. It's supposed to show neck and back mostly.
-
Then the question is, how far down is the back part? The strap is 6,5 cm.. so not that much really.

Thank jesubs for e6000.

Cheers! Here's the other picture of some modification. Taken yesteday. Ripped it off, so here's suggestion for the new placement. Bottom of snap plate is approx 3-3,1 inches from bottom. Looks ok? Can't try it with biceps just yet, both are being glued.

Late update, but here we go. Boiled the left bicep, since it lost it's shape. Could make slight adjustments to it, since it didn't have an inner cover strip = less pressure. It fits quite good, so I'll leave it at this. Regluing the cover strip end now, so won't connect it to the rest just yet. But the right side is soon ready. Approx 5-6 mm gap between these two bits. I'll need to add the snap plate for shoulders to the bicep. Didn't go for the permanent gluing here. So to the shoulder bridge. This was actually a bad fit, and I've retried it with 4 ridges.. think that is a go. Haven't glued it on just yet, will be going through some more references.

Is that a hair on the right one?! Also, is it a rule of thumb to have it 55 mm from the edge?
-
Here we go! Earlier I was supposed to connect the arms, but one bicep were loose at the butt joint - so had to reglue it. But today, I can begin!
-
Yes, it's just clamped on the top. If there' glue coming in contact with it, I'll switch to icecream sticks
-
Ahah. Didn't manager to take pictures before that went on. It's a bigger ABS plate for evening out the preassure
-
So it's done! I strapped sanding paper onto the table and took it from there - after rough cutting it. The GF wanted to test out the suit, it was too big she said. Black pencil mark, for marking scratches that will be sanded away. Added extra abs into the ditches here, for better grip on the chest. Tips taken from this forum

Ready to wrap myself in PLASTIC! ~ WTF build~
Ryth_ replied to Geekin''s topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
I skipped the 45 angle on cover strips as well -
Thanks guys! I've noticed these ridges are a bit different on mine (different to AP, ATA etc.) So a straight line will be a challenge. But what I can see from that picture, it's about 1-2 mm. One nervous guy with scissors inc.

^ Whilst waiting for measurements on shoulder bridge return. Here's some pictures of fitting. So far I think I should close in the shoulder strap. It's about 80mm now. Note that I'm missing one strap on the right side between back and kidney. It's being refitted as we speak. Is the back too far down? How much neck should be "visible".
-
Amazing work! This thread have been an inspiration and a lot of help on the way. Congratulations with job well done.

Anyone that could help me out with the measurement for the return edge on shoulder bridge cover?
-
1. Adjusting straps 2. Connect shoulders to bicep and arms 3. Connect this to armor 4. Work on thighs 5. Work more on calfs ======= Today ======= Evening out straps. A bit crooked here and there, but mostly caused by the shoulder straps not being done.

Overlapping back plate with kidney plate
Ryth_ replied to Darth Poison's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
The front is okay. I'll watch what Dave does. BRB edit; I think he hides the clamps with his belt. Skypig said what I was thinking as well. Elastic glued inside and hook them up there might be better --- as long as it wont keep the butt in an angle because of that. -

What gave you the idea to use suspenders like this? It will be a problem for your back, if not it also will show in front when you stretch. -

Are they black? Will they show if you had a black suit under? -
Ohyeah! Soon done with all snap plates. Celebrations are soon in order!
-
Now, make two extra snap straps between what is soon to be split rivet straps. Need to keep that fat in place.
-
Snip snip. Thanks for the link. Clear pictures, that's awesome.

This will be my guide for placement. The downer in this part is that my drills battery is shot. So I guess I'm borrowing a drill in the next armor workshop. Weird that the side of the armor would be so crooked, since I followed the lines in the mold. D:

I'll look into that ukswrath! Also, I took the 15mm measurement from Troopermaster. I'll find the source for that in a jiffy. edit: here we go. Took it from the split rivet placement-thread. But I'll use som ref.pictures for the final touches.
