  2. Thanks, everyone. I think I'll leave it alone for right now but it'll be on my list of things to fix. Steve
  3. Hi all, The thread title says it all. I'm assembling armor for myself and my girlfriend. I've been very worried about drilling holes in the armor. I measured, marked, and measured again before drilling. I still screwed up one set by drilling the bottom hole too low, which means the middle rivet is too low as well. And of course I set the kidney rivet placement by measuring against the ab, it's also off. I know the belt will cover up the bottom rivet but I'll still know the mistake is there. What do you all think? Make some paste, fill, and sand, and redo it or do I just quit fussing over the mistake? Steve the embarrased
  4. ty all for the replies. I'll be looking at those builds then and working from there. Steve
  5. Hi everybody, I'm working on armor for my girlfriend. She is 5'2" and I'm need some advice on resizing it. I'll attach a photo (if I remember). Currently the overlap between the chest and abdomen pieces will cover up the top two buttons on the ab plate. I'm wondering if that will be alright or if I need to cut off the cod piece and trim excess materiel there to show more of the ab buttons. How do you approach the problem? Thanks, Steve
  6. That's what I'm planning to do to fit my girlfriend's armor. Just trim the tops a short distance and test fit until it's close then recreate the top return edge with an iron (can't remember the name off hand). That way you don't take too much off.
  7. I ordered on May 4 (hemmed and hawed too long on the sizing details) and shipping notification is in. Delivery expected next Wednesday. (is it wednesday yet?)
  8. I've noticed a lot of talk about modifying the belt to meet stunt requirements. I wondered how many have thought about leaving the belt alone and modifying the helmet to meet hero requirements. I know you'd have to remove and fill in a screw on each ear and fill in one spot on each side of the frown. Is there much more I'm missing?
  9. I ordered boots for myself as well as my girlfriend. His communication was awesome. She wears a men's size 5, which no one normally carries but he came through for us. I ordered a size 10. They fit but now I wonder if I shouldn't have gone 10.5.
