  1. Yes, many of us ordered the Anovos kits in 2016 and now here we are with nothing to show for it but less money in our account. They are the worst and keep pushing the delivery date every time it gets close. But alas we continue to wait with a small glimmer of hope someday might arrive.

I’m 6’3” also so I’ll let you know if I ever get my FOTK but until then I am enjoying my Anovos Classic TK.

  2. I have been using the chat quite a bit lately and it sounds like the customer service department is very limited and they don’t get much information at all. As we know Anovos in general has a horrible communication problem with customers and apparently within too. The CSR’s always say they are asking for the information and can only give what the production department is giving to them.

In my opinion it’s the production department and their lack of communication with everyone that is driving Anovos down.

It sure would be nice if upper management would address customers and fans at a Con or something.

I wonder if a small group of customers went to an Anovos booth at an event with posters listing our first hand experiences with Anovos, wait times and lack of communication. Something civil and factual like “Hello I am an Anovos customer and am still waiting on my order/refund for 2 years now and still no hard shipping dates”. Maybe that would get their attention.

Seems like a huge disservice to not allow the hinge on the yolk, especially given some evidence of screen-worn suits having it (maybe level 1 cert?). I've owned a KB kit for years now and between the yolk cracking and the paint, it's in rough shape overall and I rarely want to troop with it. To have to paint and mold these Anovos kits means the same issues. As troopers we would look much better with clean shiny ABS rather than paint IMO and having the hinge means less repairs. I wouldn't say we should compromise accuracy to accommodate for the rigors of trooping, but in this case there is evidence of these modifications.

The TD is another story.. it's just not possible to use vacuum formed ABS and have no seams. Not sure the plan there..

I would totally agree with you on allowing the hinge for durability, ease of use and not painting however given there is no cannon proof it probably will just be a nice dream.

We better start looking at some high def screen shots of the TLJ troopers and Executioner. Maybe the hinge is there afterall?

  4. Apologies if this has been stated already but have basic approval guidelines ever changed for armors? Does the CRL base anything on behind the scenes  set pics like the ones posted in this thread? Or strictly based on what's on screen?   Do the KB or Jimmi kits have seamless back/yoke?

Yes, with enough supporting evidence and staff approval the CRL can be revised and they do evolve over time.
  5. Actually they have a separation/join between the back/front section at the top so that may indeed determine approval and qualification

So the seams will have to be filled and painted just like all the other armor joints that aren’t supposed to be visible just like all other kits?

I hope nobody assumed this would just be slap together with no fillers and painting and get immediate approval. That’s an unrealistic assumption no matter what Anovos claims.

Are you talking about directly over the shoulders where the back and front look like they overlap?

OMG - an actual update!!!! So if I am reading between the lines of the email is it safe to assume that if you're NOT in the first shipment wave then you won't get your kit until after Celebration?  Chinese New Year starts on Monday and they mentioned a 2 month delay because of it.

I thought the same thing, sounds like a few might go out but the majority will be after the two month break. Once again they are breaking their shipping time with previously all shipping by Celebration promise.

What worries me the most is this comment here, "A two month pause will occur due to Chinese New Year but will resume immediately until all orders have been sent out throughout this year." So I am wondering does that mean we will have them in 2-3 months or just sometime before January 1, 2020?

That’s more than game of thrones started on, and more than the Blackwater Bay season cost.  Whilst not as crazy money like GOT has gotten to it’s still not exactly pocket change.

    I would agree.

What I am trying to say is based on the synopsis for this show it is about the Mandalorian and the outer rim after the fall of the empire so I am sure it isn't just about TK's and not enough to worry too much about the consistency of the OTTK costumes.

The Mandalorian has a $100,000,000  budget.

And? The Mandalorian is 8 episodes. TFA was $308 million so don’t expect the Mandalorian to pull out all the stops. Remember this is the first live action tv series, not a huge budget feature film.

Still, I can't wait so see what they do with what they have. Should be fun.

Right?  Then there's me in the audience trying to keep myself from screeching "That motherf***** has TFA BOOTS!!!" in that scene with Chirrut when he says "let them pass in peace".  There's a great cinematic shot of a close of up of a TK boot shifting in the dirt and I love it because I love cinematography and it's a very well done shot.  But I had to train myself not to be irrationally angry that the boots were so wrong for pre-OT and so obviously TFA/new trilogy looking.  At least my Squad mates watching with me understood.

If anyone who's new around here is reading this, this is what you have to look forward to- noticing all the minute details whether you want to or not.  It's great, I swear!

If that is the case, you probably shouldn't watch the Mandalorian ;).
