  1. I have to put this on hold for a while. Going for (minor) surgery, but I'll be out of commission for at least a month.
  2. I was building my HERO bucket and noticed in many of the screenshots from ANH that the brow trim was very low such that there was no white space between the lenses and the brow. I decided to copy that look and someone from my Unit pointed out that it made me look angry, ergo Sterntrooper was born.
  3. Thanks for the feedback. I'll get on the pic's at Ottawa Comicon this weekend. I agree the trimming needs work and would LOVE better straps.
  4. Thanks Jeff: This is a HERO build. The ears only have 2 screws, 6 teeth and grey bubble lenses. Also, this means my holster is all good. I'll work on the other items you have listed. Much appreciated, Pete

  7. Compulsory pictures of arrival and contents . Welp, it begins. I will post my build progress here and ask many, many questions.
  8. Scott: That would be amazing. I'll PM you for sure. Thanks!!!
  9. Yes, I am definitely going to buy the T/MC helmet, but probably not for a while. Was hoping this would pass in the meantime as the number of bumps don't seem to be a consideration in the 501st CRL level 1 hero helmet.
  10. Hello all: Yes I am new, so please be gentle. I purchased an eFX bucket a few months ago, which got me into the whole idea of actually building an entire stormtrooper costume. I had never heard of FISD at the time and I'm kind stuck with this lid... for now at least. So, while I wait for my armour to arrive (hopefully in a month or so), I decided to try and modify my eFX helmet so it will at least pass for level 1 entry into the 501st as a "hero" helmet. Here's what I did: Added two screws to the ears in order to be a bit more accurate; Replaced the green lenses with darker smoke grey lenses; (I tried putting in bubble lenses but one broke, so I settled on this) Filled the seam with caulk to make it less visible and smooth it out. (not sure if what I did is good enough) Any input would be appreciated. Thanks
