You don't cut the corners. Once the front of the pieces are sealed, you should be able to pull the back apart and slide your leg in.

I am really interested in this but I want it in the blaster. Might have to do some creative thinking before I trigger a set.
But this is a great how-to! Thanks!- 1

Its all up to you. I find it helps especially if you are going to troop in your TK.

G'DAY MATE!
Yep...and do all the things that have been said above and she'll be right. -

Welcome!
Any second (or third, forth, fifth etc) language is great!!! -
The little white piece on the bicep holding the elastic is a bicep hook. They prevent your shoulder elastics from riding too high, hence holding your bicep piece in place.
I used THIS TUTORIAL to make the ones you see below. -
For the first time since I joined (not too long ago), I understand what (most) the roles are now and how this all works.
Even tho I managed to navigate my way though this web of the dark side and come out the other end ok - I think there are many others who find everything overwhelming and intimidating. Sometimes to the point of not even giving it a go.
With this one post I feel that things are gonna get better, and hopefully make it more accessible and fun for recruits.
Everyone mentioned has my full support!!!
Congrats and long live FISD!!!- 8

Welcome!
I too fell into the Jedi Robe trap - but was lucky enough to get a full refund as I discovered FISD before they sent the package out.
Like everyone says, ask heaps of questions - even stupid ones! Good Luck! -
My balaclava is the smallest I could find. I do have a smallish head. I wear a size 7 in a fitted cap if thats anything to compare by.
I ordered a hoorag. Lets see if that works. -
Nah I think this is the correct place for it. Just keep adding to this thread.
Remember everyone loves pictures. The more the better so take lots.Don't be afraid to ask even the dumbest question. We should be able to get your armour up to standard.

Would you mind taking some more shots? Side, back, details etc.....looks good from the front but I've never come across a bucket made with 'clear' plastic.
Maybe some pics of the chips with the plastic revealed? Once you have more pics Im sure everyone else will chime in. -
^^ Didn't know that!

I found you don't have to leave the acetone/ABS scraps overnight. I used a glass jar with the scraps in it...poured some acetone in...and within a few minutes the ABS started to melt into a paste. Had to work quickly tho as it started to dry and harden almost as fast as it melted.
Good Luck!- 1

Looking great!

My hair is getting real long too. Problem with wearing a balaclava for me is that when I put my helmet on (twist technique) - the balaclava twists with it!

Hey there - you might wanna check your armour agains the CRL HERE.
You wanna check under ANH Stunt or ANH Hero. These are the basic requirements of your armour to get 501st approval.
The best thing to do after that is to start your own thread and post lotsa pics. That way the members can and will guide you to where you need to be.
From just this one picture I can tell you need to add/fix/adjust/replace a few things.
Good luck! -
Hi Jonas!
If you post some pics then maybe we could give you some better advice.

There is a bit of animal killing....
TOLO!!! AMAZING!!! RESPEKT!!! -
I REFUSE TO DIRTY MY ARMOUR......just yet.....
-
I have a question too. Why do we need weathering on our armour? Especially a TD.
I understand that in the movies sandtroopers are dirty....but they obviously didn't start out like that.
The empire doesn't issue 'dirty armour' to their soldiers Im sure of it.
So if thats the case, then why are we forced in a way to dirty our armour?Wouldn't it be better if the armour had a naturally worn look from trooping or just normal wear?
If there was an option to build a clean TD...and let it wear and weather naturally...I would so jump on it.
Blasters too for that matter. Why do they have to be weathered? In the movies they mostly look freshly painted....unless you do the Blu-Ray screen shot and enlarge. But I was never able to do that at the movies to check. Even with VHS they still looked perfectly painted to me....

Not the last time I checked... your point is?
Just referring to the first post and how it reads the first time around thats all.

Sure man. Just a suggestion because someone mentioned it. Trying to give the new guy all the options so he can decide for himself. Thats all.
