  1. Thanks for the heads up. I have other all black tops and bottoms but they are not one piece and at least one set is a thermal material which I was weary of wearing unless it's cool out. I'm here in Cloud City Garrison country so it's possible it'll come in handy. Here's a little shot from Rose City ComicCon where I worked along side the awesome Star Wars Oregon folks. I'm hoping to be one soon!
  2. Here's the material for the belt. I plan to add some plastic to the inside to help it keep its shape. This is just a scrap, there's a whole sheet stored away left over from a Mando helmet I built for my son.
  3. Here's my material for the neck seal. along with the 2" black Velcro I have to still dig out.
  4. So I'm going to get this started now. I just placed my order so it'll be a few weeks until I get my BBB. Since I am pretty handy with the sewing machine I plan to sew my own belt and neck seal. Also I found and ordered this on AliExpress: http://s.aliexpress.com/bE7nQfQb Mandy Custom Second Skin Tight Suits Lycra Zentai Suit No Hood Black Mock Neck Spandex Unitard Mens Cosplay Full Body Bodysuits I hope it'll work for the undersuit it was only $20 so I won't be out a ton of money if it's crap.
  5. Comes with neck seal and gloves. Have all the tools. I am super handy and have been doing similar hobbies for decades. I retire from the Army in a few months and will have all kinds of free time. Yes boots and blaster will be a bit more but heck, I could be under $900ish all said and done......(that's called optimism, LOL!) Jim M.
  6. Of course there is shipping and all kinds of fiddly bits to buy. I realize I sound like a total noob here (because I am) but is it really too good to be true? This is why this forum exists, is it not? To ask questions of the subject matter experts and get sound advice? I have been saving for an ATA set but that's a ways out. I could have this purchased and started before I'd have the $ scraped together for ATA. Jim M.
  7. True. Does anyone know if their production run stuff ends up being vastly different from their prototypes? I really want to build a suit and the only way the wife may let me is if the price is right. $350 may be just the tipping point! Jim M.
  8. May have already been asked but I just saw the ANOVOS armor. As I am fairly new to this I see some things that may not be entirely accurate, overall it seems to be pretty decent. I'm sure I may be starting an unintentional heated debate here but for $350 as a kit with completed helmet (early bird price) it is very tempting? Thoughts? http://www.anovos.com/products/star-wars-classic-trilogy-imperial-stormtrooper-pre-order?hc_location=ufi Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
