  5. Has anyone in Canada received their order? Did you get hit with custom's fees?
  6. Requesting 501 access, please. TK 17171, Badlands Garrison http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=20151 Cheers!
  7. What is the best way to get the butt plate to form around you better. I saw on Mechapumpkin's build thread he used a tensor bandage wrapped around it to shape it. Would you also heat it a bit?
  8. I thought it was higher as I was wearing it, I even asked my buddy (who thought they were fine). They are on velcro so it is an easy adjustment.
  9. Well I finally finished this weekend! Everything seemed to always take longer. Here are my submission photos I sent in. I will put a few more up after.
  10. Trooperbay is down for the holiday. He will be back up for Monday.
  11. I just ordered the split rivets from Trooperbay. My boots and neck seal were shipped today also, Yahhhh!
  12. Now if I can only find split rivets in Calgary. I have search to no avail.
  13. Forgot to mention that they are Tubular Rivets. From what I found so far, they will work for knee plate and belt. So I am currently guessing that they will not work for in place of the Round Head bifurcated rivets that go on the Ab and kidney plates? Cheers, Jeff
  14. Will these rivets work for my knee plate, Ab armorplate, and kidney? They have a 7mm head. I have the punch for them, that separates them into 5 pieces to lock in place. Would I use a washer on the other side? Cheers!
  15. Let`s hope Imperial boots get my order shipped out soon. 12 days ago they said they would be shipped within the week, but sadly it still says processing.
  16. The AP thighs are wonky and from reading other build threads I am still not quite sure on where to line the 2 pieces up for connecting with cover strips. I have lined them up at the top in the front, which makes the bottom angle grooves look better. In the back it seems more off when lined up to the bottom grooves, which I currently have in the picture. I would have to do some trimming and forming if I cut it where I currently have it taped. Does this look right? Cheers!
  17. Hello everyone. I am focused at getting this build done. A new baby and a 2 year old really made it difficult to focus on my build, but now I am putting all my extra time into it in the hopes of being finished by mid November. Important Question: The AP thighs are wonky and from reading other build threads I am still not quite sure on where to line the 2 pieces up for connecting with cover strips. Ihave lined them up at the top in the front, which makes the bottom angle grooves look better. In the back it seems more off when lined up to the bottom grooves. I would have to do some trimming and forming if I cut it where I currently have it taped. Does this look right? Cheers I will put up pictures of my paint job and arm assembly here shortly.
  18. This is my progress so far. Looking for any feedback and suggestions that anyone has. I am thinking I just have to tidy up the teeth a little more. Any suggestions on closing up the gap on the back of the ear? Is the small gap on the front of the ear acceptable? With the forearms, do I need to trim more of the return edge in the left piece? Do you just leave the button part alone? Thanks everyone!
  19. AP was really fast at shipping my armor once ordered. I recieved it about 6 weeks ago, but we were in the process of packing and moving, so I kept it boxed up. Well now that we are settled, it's time to get started! I ordered a full untrimmed kit after polling members of the Badlands garrison. I must say, I have felt a little overwhelmed at times researching building armor (so much information). But just like you eat an elephant, grab an ear and start chewing! Watching trooperbays videos have calmed me down a little and as I get trimming, the confidence will build. All laid out So I roughly marked out the areas to trim out. I am assuming I should follow the natural contour lines but stick to the outside of them allowing me to sand or fine trim to the contour line. Thank you for the help now and probably all the "reassuring" questions in the near future. Cheers, Jeff
