It's 10mm on the bottom and top corner cuts and 13mm on the sides. You have the numbers mixed up in your diagram.
The rivet covers go almost to the end of the ammo belt which 40mm longer than the last ammo box (I didn't have 40 mm). These numbers are approximate.
Again, I apologize for wasting the 1-2 minutes it took you to type a reply. So much for troopers helping troopers I guess.

I knew I was wasting my time replying :/
Sorry to have wasted your time.
To everyone else giving advice, thank you so much for your input. I'm doing the best I can with what I have on this project.

Just to be clear, your belt should look like this when finished:
bummer... it doesn't. you show the rivet cover way out there but the reference archive image isn't that far from the outside "box"

It won't let me replace my first image. I removed the 10 and 13mm notations. I rebuilt my belt last night using the archives photo and a few EI/Centurion examples as reference. When the E6000 dries, I'll post pics. I think it turned out 10X better than my first try (rushed/botched). Thanks for all the feedback!

I made this, but found a visual reference to "go by" before I could post it... Maybe it will help someone else
and the visual reference...

Well, my OCD got the best of me and I completely disassembled the belt on my lunch break. I will rebuild it better, faster, stronger!!!

I've had very little judgement for taking on this task. My GF is just about convinced to join also and my kids are both eager to help hold parts or put on clamps. Any negativity or taunting I see as jealousy. Those people that don't have the time, resources, knowledge, skill or drive to pursue something they truly appreciate. Yes, we are weird and we love it!

What a badass collaboration between detachments! A big thank you to everyone that took time out of their busy lives to write something and to the PR staffs of both dets.
I would like to recognize one trooper (who doesn't even have an approved TK yet!) in particular who raised his hand to help out with the graphics for this newsletter.
Thank you Clint (cm325i) for creating the headers for this newsletter and putting up with the staff's nitpicky requirements.
Nice job everyone... now back to your post!

Great articles! It was my pleasure to help out, and I hope to submit for my TK this weekend.

I see a light at the end of the tunnel...
- fix snaps to ab for belt
- rivet holster to belt
- trim thigh backs to fit
- possibly trim thigh tops
- inner/outer cover strips for thigh back
- make a thigh garter
- add the thigh ammo pack
-
looks like the put a suit that was built for a 6 foot 250 pound guy on a 4 foot tall girl
LOL!!

Lots of progress today

What about adding a "Star Wars Toys" section under "Enlisted Barracks" (separate from off topic). People can share and discuss modern and vintage Star Wars themed toys and other memorabilia. There could also be a separate section under the PX for just buying. selling, trading SW toys and collectibles. Just some thoughts. Possibly getting away from the main purpose of the forum which is costuming, but I think collectibles are a big part of SW fandom.

Ok. I removed the ankle return and put the rear cover strip in place.

Made some progress this weekend but have run into some hurdles... The canvas belt I ordered is 2 inches too short (unless my ab/kidney plates aren't trimmed correctly). So, I've ordered a replacement. Also not happy w the rear seam placement on the backs of my shins. Unfortunately, other than getting new shin parts, there's not much I can do about it. They looked centered when I marked the cuts. Not really sure why it's off center.
-
Yes, I will remove those returns at the bottom (haven't gotten that far). I was indeed looking at the seam down the back. It should have been more to the left, esp since I'll have the strip offset to the inside for the velcro closure.
-
right shin front (looks good)
------
right shin back (a little off center, but passable I think)
----------
left shin front (looks good, other than the sniper plate pulling the E6000 apart at the sides)
----------
left shin back. Totally got this one screwed up. The cover strip will be so far off center. Not sure how I did that

I bought an FX from a member on here to have as an extra "fun" bucket. My kids can play w it and I can use it at work functions while not having to worry about messing up the more expensive helmets that I've put so much time and $$$ into. I also have an MTK and an AM 2.0 helmet.

You could always just put on a real scope? DarkCMF drilled out his and added lenses. Look for his E-11 build, it's awesome.
-
So the rule-of-thumb is that the forearms are NOT Velcro-closed, like the shins?
Correct. The ONLY parts that velcro closed are the shins.
-
I put my handguards on after i slide my hands and gloves through the forearms.
that was my initial plan, but now I'll have to do gloves after forearms. No biggy. Hopefully tonight I can get the outer strips on the arm parts and do some sanding & clean-up on the edges...
There are many AM 2.0 builds, but this one is mine...

This is from my first full suit test fit today. It's the only one I want to post. The thighs are way too big and the rest look goofy. I'll size them down and try again for another set of images.
