  1. Random thought, could we double up the provided lens roll to make it harder to see in?
  2. Yeah that's my question. I couldn't figure out how to word it properly. So can I taper the forearms like the bicep pictured above? Any vets care to comment?
  3. Yes, unfortunately there is no defined cover strip position And thank you Ron!
  4. Ok now time for a forearm question and then off to bed. Can I trim the backside of the forearm at an angle so the part fits close at the front and back? I have fairly thick forearm muscles but tiny wrists so I move a lot! This is trimmed straight and fits well at my elbow side but has room at the wrist
  5. Well its update time! I have the front inside coverstrip glued down on one thigh and that is looking good. I am currently gluing the back inside cover strip on, and will put the return edge on the upper thigh tomorrow
  6. Thanks! I am really surprised at how well the abs paste worked! And not quite the whole tube! Although its about half gone! I've been extra generous when applying
  7. Hey Mike, how are you attaching the plastic for the buttons to the elastic?
  8. Ok so I'm not the only one whose ear doesn't go to the bottom lip
  9. Hello everyone! I ave been so busy trying to build and update about shins, I havn't got to post for a while. Okay, so here is a progress update. Helmet: I have assembled the front, back, top, and ears. I have also filled my extra tooth holes with the abs paste (abs chips and acetone) and sanded those to shape. I used ductape as backing and let it dry for a few days and no problems. Thighs: I have trimmed and sized both thighs. I am currently gluing the inside front cover strip on one leg and then the back and front and back of the other leg. Forearms: I have sized the length and cut down the sides. I do have one question. Should the sides be a straight cut from the edge or can they be tapered? Straight cut fits upper forearm but not my wrist.
  10. That's a good looking bucket Rick!
  11. The finishing strips for the forearms and biceps are 15 mm. The calves and thighs are 20mm, That's all I know how to answer as of right now. And I love the set-up! Also, did you get two left calves as well?
  12. 1. as stated above. Inner pieces should pretty well line up with the one outer and not the other 2. same as above 3. same as above 4. I glued the back to the cap. I bolted the face and the back together and when I was satisfied with the fit, I replaced the bolts with rivets. I then used bolts for the ears (screen accurate). I also glued the cap to the forehead after it was riveted, but that could go before. I also put some E6000 in the larger gaps between the ears and head and then removed the excess from the outside to help from seeing light pass through. This is a great helmet build! http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/26301-ne-helmet-build/
  13. And hallelujah I'm not crazy!!!
  14. Ok so here are the fronts here are the insides Also, they match perfectly when stacked
  15. Ok sorry for the delay. Here are my shin pieces.
  16. Yes thank you! I'm having a heck of a time telling them apart still. When I see your picture it seems to make so much sense but I just cant see it! I will put up a picture here in a little bit and maybe you can help me see the difference.
  17. Ahh I see what you're talking about. that helps looking at it from that direction. I guess what was really throwing me off was the low dip on both left sides. I was hoping for more symmetry I suppose. Thank you for pointing that out!
  18. Boots are looking good! Luckily I was able to get a pair of hand-me-downs from a member here in the Northern Darkness Garrison! It also looks like TK Boots are back up and running!
  19. I think i have the same thing. I wonder if this wasn't taken into account with the new molds? Let us know if yall figure anything out from TG... I don't see the point in me bombarding him with the same questions.
  20. Ok so the spackle failed, but i am trying the abs paste now. this seems it will work much better.
  21. Is it only the wrist side return edge, or both?
  22. When you assemble these one will be backward
  23. It looks like that would be correct but its because the one is angled. when they are laid out flat they don't match the original picture in the AM leg build guide. But the A's both face the same direction and the B's both face the same direction.
