    I'm in for 1 set of Finely Finished, no speakers! As for making another run, THANKS!!!

    Oh, out of curiosity, are these the same speakers SuperTrooper is selling?

    Yes they are, and they sound pretty danged good for such small speakers!! A self-contained "in the bucket only" PA system is within our grasps!! :duim:

     

     

     

    I'll get a list composed with everyone's request when I get some time. I still have to build 5 sets of finished Hovi's w/o speakers, then 15 sets w/speakers after that. If the speakers for run-2 don't arrive for a while I'll start filling orders for sets w/o speakers for this run! :salute:

    Since I'm getting request for PM's when I do a third run of these from every corner of the forums, and in order to keep the confusion to a minimum for me please sound off here and I'll eventually get to you! Make sure you read ALL of the following!!

    Heya Guns!

     

    I'm not sure to be honest if is is HDPE or PE, it is a bit tan in color on the inside.... it could be so, but I KNOW FOR SURE it is NOT HIPs or ABS. Let me kow if you ever need a vendor for Hovi's! :salute:

     

    BTW, I had to suspend all E-11 (and ALL other blasters) production for a while as they are so labor intensive and the wife is crawling up my backside to get the house remodeled... these Hovi's can be done in "small blocks" of time here and there, so I can sneak out for 15-30 mins. at a time and cast a batch... I have NOT forgotten your E-11!!! ( I know, broken record....) ;)

    I was just at Matt's house around 11AM this morning delivering 20 sets of (custom) "hollow cast" Hovi-Mix mic tip aerators for all his buckets he has going, and I can vouch that he is going FULL ON with everything he has going on between the all the TK buckets and getting married. It's a pretty rare thing for a guy to be standing in a room with a pile of TK buckets in various stages of assembly and finishes! Matt asked me to post photos of the partially completed bucket I just got from him today, and also to let everyone know that I am his Hovi-aerator supplier (for now... LOL!!).

     

    THIS puppy will NEVER get trooped in!! Once I get it completed and detailed out it's going on PERMANENT display in my office where it is protected by killer lasers, and a rabid Rottweiler!!!

    Hey Troops,

     

    I am making PILES of hovi bodies today, so some these will start shipping this week! I'm still waiting for the speakers so (obviously) the speaker versions will not ship until I get those in hand!

     

    Sorry that you missed this run Jonah and Kent, I'll PM you FIRST thing when I start the next run... which won't be too far out!

    WOW.... you want to talk about photo finishes for the last spots on the list!! Since everyone was sooooo close in their posting times on the three different forums I have this listed on, I'm going to extend the run two more slots to 30 so everyone who posted BEFORE I closed this run can get what they requested!!!

    OK, now to the DUMB questions..... ;)

     

    Not enough dumb questions, so I'll add one. Are these cast off of real hovi's or from a sculpt? :)

    I have another dumb question.

     

    The on the finely finished model. Can they be taken apart to install speakers? I ordered a coupled in that run (thinking I could install my own if I need another speaker set). I also ordered a finely finished with speakers for my current bucket (so I can get the installed ASAP)

     

    So depending on if the finely finished can be broken down to install speakers after the fact I may need to change my second order.

     

    Sorry for the dumb question and I hope it made sense.

     

     

    Well Darth, I suppose you COULD try and remove the screen from the Finished w/o speakers, but you most likely will ruin the screen as it will be glued in like a tick on a monkey's armpit! Then you would have to drill a proper sized hole in the base of the Hovi risking the finish from scratches or a drill/dremmel getting away from you, then of course having to solder the wire leads and so forth... it's up to you, but I priced the sets w/speakers $30 higher than the $20 set w/o speakers because the speakers will cost me roughly $14-$15 a set, the cost of the wire and solder, and a small stipend for my time to drill out and assemble the things, basically keeping it a fair price for all sides involved (IMHO). Shoot me a PM about those speakers you have (yes I'll read it and not delete it! ;) ). Because I don't mind helping out a fellow trooper, I'd be willing to knock off my cost on the speakers if you send me the set you have and I'll just charge you $35 for the 2nd set w/speakers to help you out... if you'd like to go that route. :salute:

    If you have ordered, or plan to order these with speakers, PLEASE REMEMBER that I ordered TWENTY sets from SuperTrooper's (Terrell's) "run 3" that he has going on ATM. I have to wait for the run to be over, for him to order and receive them, and for him to ship them to me, THEN I have to solder and install them... I will get them out the door ASAP, but I have ABSOLUTELY no control over the delivery time for these materials!! That's why I don't take pre-payments! ;)

    OK, here goes!

     

    The UNFINISHED kit is just that, fresh dumped from the mold, no de-spruing (cleanup) no sanding... NADA... just the Hovi bodies, screens, and nylon bolts w/washers in raw form. These may or may not need a whole lot of detailing done to them

     

    FINELY FINISHED is cleaned up, detailed to perfection and painted (if needed) to cover any "carmelizing/swirling" in the black tinted resin (hey.. it happens), screens permanently installed ready to be installed right from the package.... 10-minutes from start to finish and you are on your way!

     

    FINELY FINIHSED w/speakers is the same as FINELY FINISHED, but with Terrell's killer mini-speakers installed & pre-wired with 24" of 2-conductor wire with bare leads so you can solder them into any voice amp or PA system you may have.

    ***UPDATE***

     

    Troops, I have to scale the size of this run down to 28 total sets because of other work loads and commitments I have to see through, BUT there's still PLENTY of slots available! After this weekend is over I'm going to post this run on the 501st Legion forums and I fully expect the reserved sets to get snatched up FAST!
