    Hey guys,

     

    I have to work through the speaker version list before I make anymore non-speaker sets, the troops on the speaker list have been waiting for a long time.

     

     

     

    EVEN!! I emailed you about a month or so ago and never heard back from you!! Glad to see you are still with us! Is there any other shipping method that may be more reliable than the standard postal system to Beijeng? I would hate to see another set not make it to you!! It may be worth it for you to spend a little more on FedEx, UPS, or DHL as they can offer tracking numbers and accountability unlike the standard government postal system!! Don't feel badly, I have sent two different shipments to Bolivia, and neither one of those made it through either! :(

    I use the lapel microphone from Radio Shack wth good results. It's a powered microphone, but I have been reading that it will work w/o the in-line battery. OBVIOUSLY this is because the amplifiers people have been using them on have a "powered" port, or using a RS amp mod that Skullworx developed. THis microphone is pretty versitile and can be mounted pretty much anywhere that suits your needs/wants.

    Hey Troops,

     

    Since my time has been so limited that I can't spend the insane amount of time it takes to build my scratch-built E-11's (about one month per E-11... on a good month), I have decided to start making various (easy to use) E-11 parts available to troopers in order to help raise the quality and accuracy of the community's kits.

     

     

    Trivia Fact- It takes nearly 48" (4-ft.) of T-track to do an ANH E-11 and at $5USD per ft. you would be spending at least $20, maybe more if you get extra to cover mistakes!

     

    What I have here is rubber t-track that is already at the proper legnths AND tapered to the proper configuration to EASILY be installed onto the BBC template E-11's. All you do is run a small bead of either CA glue or contact cement (supplied by you) for each t-rail, then center them between each "end hole", press down in the middle and work them down towards each end, then tuck the ends into the holes for an ACCURATE ANH version... no cutting, no heating, no grinding, no problem! They come flat black and are just like the ones you see in the photos of the scratch-built E-11, and scaled photo below.

    Hey Pablo,

     

    I'm attempting to get started on the first four sets, but unfortunately I was stricken with the flu virus that has been going around so I have literally been flat on my back in bed for the last two days... I got sick during the last run I did of these as well... must be a curse! LOL! My goal is to try and do four sets a day until the run is completed, so baring any more "issues" it shouldn't take a whole lot of time... hang in there, EVERYONE on the list will get their hovi's! :salute:

    Hey, Tony, what speakers do you use for these? I'm looking at options for some Scout and Scout-based helmets. :)

    Jonah, they're the ones SuperTrooper sells. They are THE BEST speakers in this size... NOTHING comes even remotely close to their performance.

    I got my Hovi tips from this guy a while back. Believe me, he's worth being patient for. :)

    Hey Matthew, I can make non-speaker versions at any time. I just got a Mitsubishi min-heat pump installed in my work shop last weekend for year 'round climate controlled temperatures, so I'll be able to get back into making these as it has been to cold in my work shop for resins, glues, and paints to cure properly. I'll add you to the list tonight when I get home from work! :salute:
