One of the local TK guys here said that the NE builds have 11 dimples on the left forearm and 12 on the right. The numbers match with the new AM forearms. I may go with that info. I have a lot of cutting to do anyway. I do like the armor and the helmet.

I see that I will have quite a bit of cutting to do, but any help with new shapes would be appreciated. For starters, the forearms are asymmetrical. Which side is which. Pandatrooper has a great thread, but the armor has changed since then. Help??

Thanks Andrew. Let me know if you see anything else during your build that I can learn from/avoid. I glued hand guards onto gloves last night. It was very satisfying to officially contribute to my TK.

I ordered a new full kit from AM. Based on the description of the armor I thought it would be best for me. They have been very helpful so far. My kit is supposed to be here in a few weeks. My concern is that I read a few negative posts about the armor after the fact. Should I be worried? Better yet, are there things that I can specifically do that will make the armor better/more accurate? The pics that I've seen of the AM armor look good to me. Maybe untrained eye. I'm kinda stocky. 5'10 200lbs

This is my first FISD post. I hope to get rolling soon. I am a conservation biologist in TX. So much red dirt. My research site could easily be located on Tatooine. I can't think of any better position than Sandtrooper.
