The Split went down the mold line. I read somewhere that I could drill a hole to help stop it from splitting further. So far so good. I had to sand it flat as possible so the cap and back would not be too far off when they came together. Then CA glued it together. Inside view of the split.

I meant to say it is in the very beginning post (Page 1). I will post some more pics right now.

I know I probably won't get EIB or Centurion with it. But will it affect my basic membership? What should I do? Or how can I fix it if I want to go higher than basic? Thank you.

If you look at the very beginning of this post (Page 1), I posted a thumbnail pic of a mold line on the left tube. It came into play when it came together and now I'm stuck with it. I did watched the movies again a noticed a few of the ANH Stormtroopers with big ears, so I don't think I'm that bad off. I guess they could be radar! LOL

Unfortunately I can't because the mold line split and pop rivet will show.

Priming and painting my screw heads white. That way they will only need a little touch up paint after I attach them to the brackets and armor.

I will, I will. As soon as I have more time I will post pics. I am using my spare time to build and not figure out my posting pics problem. My goal was to get it done before Halloween but work will not allow me. I know what you mean. I had a heat gun accident and had to order new parts. The hot water bath is the way to go. I have not tried the heat sealing iron yet.

Gave some of my armor a hot bath. I am happy how well it worked. Now my shins close on their own. And my arm and thigh ammo are more rounded.

It was the right side that was bothering me. Once I had the shape, it was easy to take a little off. It just takes a lot of time.

Helmet done!

I finished my helmet today! I will be posting pics as soon as I can. I did trim my right ear a little more. Thank you guys! Not as good as some of yours but I think my helmet came out ok.

Looks Great!

I cannot post pics with my newer laptop because there is a problem between it and Photobucket. I was using my old desktop to post pics from photo bucket but now it does not work. Its says I need a update. I already updated and still does not work. I tried posting pics as a thumbnail but that now says the pics are "too big" even after resizing it too.

I'm having problems with photobucket and posting pics again. That's why my last pic was a thumbnail. I will post a pic as soon as I can.

Is the right ear bigger than the left or do I need to take more off? I can't make the left smaller or "the mold line that split" and pop rivet will show. I guess what I'm asking is, will this get me my basic TK number? What should I do?

It has been awhile but I am back! So I still managed to screw up my ears. it was so bad I had to order new ones. (Thanks MTK!) Last time, I tried to rush it and cut too much off and could not recover from it. I refuse to post those pics. So lets try again!

I do have a ear question if you guys could help? What measurement did you use for the round part of the ears? I just want a guide for how much to trim off? Thank you.
