Thanks Thayne. When I get back from vacation I'm going to get serious about a run.

This is my first prototype. I'm still working out the details of cost and construction. I'd like to keep the price under $50. Other details I'm working out is the finish. Right now, from the picks you can see that it is pretty flat. That's because of the texture. The material has the potential to be more glossy. I'm thinking about making another master out of a different material that will be smoother and more glossy.

Don't let me derail the review. Comments are welcome.

Hey Lucas, thanks for writing this review. It will be fun to see what you do with it. I'm currently working on drape options and possibly a terrycloth liner. It doesn't really need it but it would sure add some luxury.
I just finished my first troop with it and it worked great. I used it without a drape since my under armor has a 1 inch collar. Snap it on and go. A little info about it, It's made of flexible Urethane foam. Here's some pics of it in action.
I'll be offering a run of these real soon. Perhaps a fully assembled version and a kit like Lucas is testing. Stay tuned.

Ah, got it. Thanks. They could have used a few tubes of Devcon back then. Looks a little labor intensive.

That looks like it was a fun event. Thanks for sharing.

Welcome to the FISD Scott. Congrats on the fund raising. You guys look great.

Wow! 7 feet tall. You would make an excellent Vader. This hobby could definitely use an extra large/tall set of armor. I'm 6'3 and could use an extra inch or two here and there. I'm building a clone right now and most of the pieces are seamless. Lots of bondo, epoxy and fiberglass tape. I suppose if you had two of most of the arm and leg parts, it's possible you could extend and expand them. Or, we could scale up the suit and make the extra large tall by vacuum forming them from the get go.
Welcome to the FISD Leif.

Nice promotion pic. You look awesome. I've been waiting for a book like this forever. It's a shame it's completely out of the question price wise.

Interesting topic. I've been working on something similar for several months. I was just about to unleash it to see if there was any interest. It's made from a durable foam rubber. I plan on lining it with terry cloth and adding a skirt. The most unique feature is the rare earth magnet zipper.
Here's my prototype minus the drape and lining. I'll be posting the interest thread in a few days.
