  1. Next time you should probably away put your weapon before falling asleep.
  2. I've seen some using webbing. But the rest of my snaps are fastened with small square pieces of plastic. Thats why I want to use that method. I want to keep it tidy inside. And I'm only adding a few snaps. I planned to use E6000.
  3. I'm not quite sure where to post this... But I'm in the need for some ABS pieces I can use to glue some snaps to my AP armor. Does anyone have som scrap ABS pieces for me? I will of course pay a couple of bucks for it, plus postage.
  4. Thanks for the advice on the arms. I'll put that strap in. But I'm in the need for some ABS pieces I can use to glue down some snaps. Does any one have som scrap ABS pieces for me? I will of course pay a couple of bucks for it, plus postage.
  5. I saw a thread on this very topic earlier. But I don't find it. It was said in the thread that it is all right to trim out an area behind the knee joints. It was also said that this was done in the movies. If you look at the top photo of the stunt trooper in the 501st.com CRL you see an area cut out. I totally see the problem. I felt the pincing as I walked some stairs yesterday. But I don't think it looks too nice. So I'm not sure what I want to do. Beauty with pain, or some armor hacking.
  6. Sorry about the title. It should have been "wearing the armor for the first time" or something like that.
  7. I've decided go for a white one. Thank you guys!
  8. I tried the armor on for the first time yesterday. This is an AP suit. First I need to get basic approval so I can join the ranks. But I hope to aim for EIB later. I am 173 cm tall. I don't think the fit is to bad, but it takes a trained eye to see the details. So I really appreciate your comments on this. This is my list so far: - Fix butt plate (you can see it sticking out on my right). I've already made a thread on that. - I need gloves. I have short fingers. The ones I got is too big. - Pull in the shoulder blades a couple of cm - Raise the forearms. put some padding in to make them "stick" I'm also wondering about the gap beetween the kidney plate and front piece seen on the side photo. Is this gap ok? I've seen some with a strip of armor beetween the pieces. And should the breast plate and back plate be connected on the sides, just above the kidney plate?
  9. I could use some input on how to fit the butt plate. I've attached a photo of my rear where you cleary see the butt plate sticking out. This is the first time I wear the suit, so there is a few more things i need to adjust, but this is the most obvious. I'm thinking about either strapping it to the kidney plate, or a horizontal strap to the cod area. Is it also possible to heat the piece a bit and bend it a bit, to maybe get a more fitting curve? What do you think? I've also attached a photo of how the strapping is now.
  10. Ah, the difficult task of choosing. I kinda like the polished up death star trooper look. That tells me white. But i'm not sure... I'll sleep on it. But even for EIB or centurion it doesn't matter?
  11. I have to fix the belt on my newly aquired AP suit. There are som nice belts availible in the forum sales section. But shall I choose an off white or a white belt? I feel off white maybe will give a more "used" and authenitc look, but a clean white belt is probably more slick. What is correct? (I have an ANH stunt. I need to get basic approval but I want to aim for EIB)
  12. This must be a scout trooper working for Lord Dark Helmet from Spacballs.
  13. Thank you for your replies. Adjusting it to fit me I would have to do with any suit I'd buy, right? I think I'll mange that (I hope ). And I've read that the AP armor is a good choiche for a small body. This time I'll have some nice armor, and not some half good jedi robe stuff. Thats important. I think I will go with this one.
  14. To make it short I was fooled to buy a Jedi Robe suit by a seller assuring me it was 501st approved. Some time has passed and I'm over it now. (Here is the thread where I was hit with the hard facts: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/24360-hello-from-norway/#entry306421) I've done some research since then. I believe AP armor is good for me. My measurements are 173 cm tall (or short if you want) (5'8") and I weigh about 72 kg (normal build). I've now come across this complete AP suit in the up for sale section: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/26119-for-sale-complete-ap-e11soft-partselectronics/#entry329315 I am very interrested and I'm currently discussing with the seller. He seems like a very nice guy. But after getting burned the last time I went out armor shopping I need to be absolutely sure I'm getting the real stuff. So, will you please comment on this package? Can you please tell me if I'm thinking right this time. Thank you.
