To answer your other questions. I went with the NE kit because the turn around time was only a couple of weeks when I ordered. Other makers quoted me like 6 or 7 months. The problem with the ears isn't all that bad. And they are working on new ears to resolve it. No regrets at all. I think the kit is beautiful. The helmet is great for me too because I have a large head and it fits me fine.

The NE kits are made by a couple of people. Look at this thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/ They are listed as "Armor Master". It doesn't mention the NE kit there as it's a new kit they make now. But that's who to reach out to about getting one if you're interested.

Thanks. Just some really simple dry brushing. Painted the whole thing flat black. Then took some Testors silver paint, get a tiny bit of paint on the brush and then wipe most of it off on a paper towel. Then gently brush on on the edges of the gun. Just make sure you have almost no paint left on the brush. It's pretty easy. Just give it a shot.

Now with 100% more paint.

Finished my droopydoo E-11 today. Improvised the rail on top with some leftover ABS from my NE kit. It's not perfect but it worked.

Well at least it's fixable.

Oops. Yeah the plate is upside down. I hope it's e 6000. I think I need to trim my return edges a bit on the thighs. For comfort.

Looking good. Question. Did you trim the return edge on the top of the thighs?

Yeah I cut mine too. Like you said. About a quarter inch. It didn't seem to work for me though. Did you glue it to make it flush?

Oh and I forget my neck seal! Duh.

First full test fit. Thighs are not attached yet. Knee plate glue popped off on one corner while putting it on. Also, shin keeps turning inwards when i take a step. Shoulder bells are rolling back too much. Back plate is sitting too low. Helmet is temp MR helmet just for the photo while I work on my NE bucket.

Thanks everybody. I'll look into those decals. Locutis, you have greater faith in my painting skills than I do! But I might give it a shot. As for the comments on the ears. They are totally FUBAR. I need a new set. But I put those on for now since I don't know when I'll get another set. But as far as raising them up higher, they just don't go. I've been seeing this on all of the NE helmets. I think it's a flaw in the design. But whenever I get a new set, maybe I can figure out some way to tweak them...

Oh and the AM/FX decals from Trooper Bay do NOT fit the NE helmet.

Congrats! We are about the same size and yes there is a lot of trimming you'll need to do. Best advice I can give is look at lots of reference photos. Post pics and ask questions. Just be patient waiting for answers. Sometimes it takes a day or so for people here to respond.
