  2. Hi Scott, I've cut out four ATA faceplates now. I've found that the visible indent on the inside of the faceplate around the eyes is a pretty good guide for cutting the eyes down. I marked mine with pencil before cutting just to make sure I didn't lose sight of the line mid-cut. I used a dremel with a cutting wheel to do this. Trust me, it doesn't make your helmet look more surprised. Jamie
  3. I just started using this set myself. They look and fit great. There is definitely a color difference. The bottoms are totally fine. The top is slightly grayer than the bottoms. Having said that, under the armor, no one would ever notice. Not even myself when looking in a mirror. After having done a ton of research on undersuits, this option definitely provides the most bang for your buck hands down. The only downside is that they don't ship outside of the US. A member of Titan Garrison was kind enough to receive them for me. I can provide pics of me with my armor on if you want to see how it looks. Jamie
  4. Thank you for the speedy response gazmosis! This is what I was looking for. I'll make the change right away.
  5. Hi all! I've received feedback from my Garrison CO in my application pictures stating that I should trim my outer right shin armor at the bottom. Being ATA armor, it is asymmetrical so the left and right shin armor look different at the bottom. The left shin armor halves line up at the bottom with both pieces look like they are approximately the same length. The right shin armor is a different story. The outside bottom portion of the shin armor is longer than the inside bottom portion. I originally trimmed my armor based on where the return edges are. I was looking for more information on how much I should trim off of the bottom of the right outer shin armor. I've done research here before posting and could only find one post in which differing opinions are stated regarding my question with not much information: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/26128-thermal-detonator-shin-questions/?hl=%2Bata+%2Bright+%2Bshin#entry329454 Here are the pictures I took of my armor: http://imgur.com/a/oyBsP What I'm looking for is how much I should trim off of the bottom of my outer right shin armor based on my CO's feedback. I'm looking ahead to going for Centurion one day so I don't want to screw this up if I can help it. Thanks in advance for your feedback, Jamie
  6. Bumping. I still need to know if 16mm cover strips will be acceptable on the bicep armor pieces if the ridges need to be larger than 16mm to fit properly for potential EIB and Centurion approval down the road.
  7. Sorry I just realized that I posted pictures for ants. Here is the link to the album containing the pictures that you won't have to squint to see. -------
  8. Thanks for the speedy reply! I have indeed built the forearm pieces. I was able to make the forearms with the standard 16mm cover strips. Does that mean I should make the bicep cover strips 16mm to match?
  9. Hi guys, I'm assembling a set of ATA armor for the first time and have run into a dilemma that I need your input on. The bicep pieces will not fit me if I were to do the 16mm cover strips. After sizing them up to fit properly I would need approximately 35mm on both the front and back. As I understand it, I have two options: 1. Use a standard 16mm cover strip in the front and make up the difference in the back with a larger cover strip to make the bicep piece fit properly. 2. Use equal-sized cover strips in the front and back. These would likely be around 35mm wide each. Alternatively, I assume that I could use a 16mm cover strip but have a larger ridge that it goes over top of instead of having them be the same size as per the discussion in this thread regarding the thigh cover strips: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/25603-tk-31198-requesting-anh-stunt-centurion-status-ata108/page-2 Which option is preferable here? Eventually I would like to go for Expert Infantryman or Centurion status which is why I'm asking for input from a Centurion judge.
