  1. TK 69169 requesting access http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=16462
  2. Yes, basic approval. I found out my background was taking away from the details of the costume. I need to retake with a solid background of a contrasting color.
  3. These were my submission pictures. They were kicked back for not following the directions for submission - I need to show the costume better. Anyone have any ideas as to what I need to change in the pictures?
  4. Got them from a board member named Evilboy
  5. Funny you say that, I just added the plastic hooks. I like it much better, but they're digging into my sides when my arms are down.
  6. Sorry bud, i didn't see this. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004RCLM8Q/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They are very comfortable.
  7. I tried the CA glue last night. I used Zap-A-Gap. It was much easier and faster than sewing (plus it feels like it's going to hold better). Only mishap was when I glued my thumb to my forefinger and couldn't get them apart for about 30 minutes.
  8. Good idea. I honestly started getting bit discouraged as I just can't seem to get the pictures just right for submission. It's always one thing or another. Then I took it to a TGI Friday's to surprise a friend I knew was eating there - and the look on the faces of kids throughout the restaurant made it all seem worthwhile.
  9. Just an update... I took the suit for a test run. The straps that came with the suit just weren't doing the job. I bought some better webbing and created my own straps. Tried using the adhesive veclro - but it didn't stick to the webbing for very long. Tried sewing the velcro on, but the adhesive made it impossible. I'll go out this week and buy some non adhesive velcro. Then I should be ready to take the submission pictures - I know, I know - use snaps. My advisor is suggesting velcro - I'll probably switch to the snaps at some point, but I really want approval first.
  10. I did pop it on. Do the sides all get trimmed off?
  11. Sorry for the seemingly endless picture posts - but everytime I post, someone gives me some great feedback. I've sent the following to my advisor. I'm actually awaiting his response to see if they're submittal worthy. (I do just now see the under armor logo on the right side of my pants).
  12. Yes, that's it. I was confused. Belt is corrected.
  13. Comments from my advisor... 1. Lower cod and or raise thighs to reduce the gap in the crotch 2. Reduce the return on the lower back so the back piece sits better 3. Lower the stomach by adjusting the straps that attach to the back Comments from whitearmor 1. switch and rotate forearms 2. trim the belt corners Getting closer guys - thanks to all for your help.
  14. Thanks for that - I saw a tutorial somewhere to use the TD as the guide to round the corners. Now that I've checked, it's obvious they need to be cut. Made a few minor adjustments last night that made major differences. I'll be posting new pics in a minute.
  15. That picture clears it up - I can just switch the forearms. I was misunderstanding - thinking top of the swoop had to point outward - it actually faces inward. Thanks!!
  16. Thanks, I was planning to correct the top part tonight. It should be an easy fix.
  17. but if I just swap arms and rotate them - wouldn't that make the edge curve inward?
  18. I plan to make a few more adjustments tonight and take submission pictures. I'll be adding a garter system for the thighs - 3 inch elactic and a heavy duty black belt from the army/navy store. As I was looking at pictures of centurian submissions, I noticed that the ab plate and the kidney plate are not connected on the sides. As you can see, I have mine overlapped and velcroed together. I'm just looking for confirmation that this needs to be corrected as no one has mentioned it.
  19. Latest test fit... Here are the comments from my advisor - all other comments are welcomed. 1. trim and/or place the thighs so they don't contact the cod or butt piece 2. trim the extra pieces off the sides of the chest 3. reduce the return on the back piece so it matches the return on the chest 4. bring the chest piece down by loosening the connection of the shoulder straps to the back piece 5. adjust the butt piece so it doesn't stick out 6. bring the stomach in so it doesn't stick out so much I've been having issues with the thighs and the butt piece - I'm going to try to replace the elastic that came with the kit with a better elastic. Both the thighs and the butt look fine - until I move
  20. Didn't realize the number = approved. That's a big help. Thanks.
  21. Is there a link to approved submission pictures anywhere? I'm aware of the EIB and Centurian boards where they post submission pics. I've also read the guidelines for submission pics. I'm just looking for something I can pass on to my photographer so they can see what a set of approved pics would look like. I'm just going for regular TK stunt approval. I did search but came up empty. Feel free to post your approved pics here on my thread.
  22. This weekend I'm going to trim the thighs at the top and put some foam behind the sniper plate. I also may do something to keep the biceps in place. Then I should be ready. Thanks to everyone on this board for their help.
  23. Thanks, those ears were a pain. I wanted them to go up to the trim, but there was just no way to make that happen. I may redo the tube stripes, not sure yet. Is there a recommended length? Any ideas on how to fix them without totally redoing them?
