  1. I'm officially a moron! After looking at dozens of helmet pics and then watching a video on how to do the tube strip decals I STILL managed to put the curve the wrong way! I don't suppose there is a way to save the decals is there??
  2. Does this look better? (Brow hasn't been trimmed yet... That is why it curves at the end)
  3. Great idea! Just used your post to build one myself! Thanks
  4. Thanks for the feedback! I used rivets... Should have used these screws instead. I had quite a few problems with the left ear which could have easier to deal with without the rivet
  5. Working on my first helmet and have two little questions... First, I was just reading the 501st helmet requirements and it says that there should be 8 cut out teeth... Mine only have 7. Did I miss something? Second, my ATA kit two extra screws, washer and bolts that I have clue what they're for? Anyone know? Thanks!
  6. Thanks for the feedback! I will give that a try.
  7. I thought that while I wait for armor I'd experiment and try making my own blaster holster. This is my first attempt and I'd hugely appreciate any feedback. I still have quite a lot of the material so I can makes lots of mistakes
  8. I'm on the waiting list for ATA as well. Gives me lots of time to get everything else ready... And maybe even get some of the pieces I'll need as Christmas presents
  9. Just curious.... Anyone know of a Canadian supplier of something similar to this under armor? If I can save on shipping and duty fees I'd like to try
  10. Sorry if this has been addressed in another post... I've been digging and didn't find anything... I was just curious as to whether or not it is better, as a newbie, to go with a trimmed or untrimmed TK armor? I'm pretty handy with tools when it comes to construction and house renovations, but I've never worked ABS plastic before. So I'm wondering: - what kind of tools do I need to do the trimming work myself? Does it require special tools? - how easy is it to wreck the armor? I always follow the Bob the Builder rule of "measure twice, cut once" but, again since I'm a wood guy and not plastic, does it snap easy and you end up having to order replacement parts frequently? Part of me prefers the idea of going untrimmed... and not even for the money savings. I like the idea of me working on my own armor - just like how I loved refinishing my hardwood floors Any thoughts or feedback, or links to other discussions, would be a great help! Thanks!
  11. Thanks for the tip Keith! Appreciate it!
  12. I was just checking out the Eastbay site... They have an Evapor and Evapor Cold types... Am I correct to assume it's the non cold one everyone is using? Anyone know of the difference? I'm wondering if up here in Canada it might be worth getting the Cold version
  13. This is awesome information. Thanks everyone for it! Just sent them an email to get on their waiting list.
