  1. Hey Paul, Sorry for the delay getting back to ya... Here are some answers for ya ( as best as I know ). 1- 2 inch pipe 2- I put shims inside and out. It is not necessary... I just wanted to extra hold and to make it look nicer inside. 3- from the pics I have seen in goes around. 4- I have had no problems with the e6000 glue. 5- 16mm for arms and 22mm for legs. You made back shims larger if you need more room Hope this helps!
  2. Now the fun part... Figuring out how to connect these pieces...
  3. A bit more progress this weekend. Picked up snaps and straps and starting to put it all together...
  4. Did a leg test today. They needed a little more trimming and now feel a lot more comfy. Once I put some foam in the shins I will have less of a gap around the knees. I'm still having a tough time finding a good way to assemble the ab and kidney plates. Any suggestions would be greatly welcomed
  5. Been a bit of a slow week. Legs are completely done and beginning to trim the ab, kidney and butt plates. I've been trying to find a good example of adding an inch or two so I can actually breath wearing the an and kidney plates Any suggestions??
  6. Shins are nearly done. Velcro in place on left one. Right is drying then Velcro will be put on. Started trimming thigh pieces.
  7. Day 1's work. Very happy and really have had no major issues. Loving working with this ATA kit! May need a little more trimming and I will make some abs paste to fill some of the joints... But everything is fitting great and very comfy (as much as TK armour can be comfy!) Now about to start right shin and thighs.
  8. Took apart the right forearm. Retrimmed it. Much better. Started the shins. Figured I'd start with the left
  9. I did a test fitting of the forearms... Right is significantly larger than the left... Probably should deal with that before the glue is too far gone.
  10. Ok... So E6000 doesn't work at all with rubber hand guards... Lesson learned
  11. Dremel jumped out of my hand and knicked it nothing some paint can't cover Just need to smooth out he edge a bit more to make it comfy.
  12. First bicep trimmed... Anyone know which is the right and which is the left? Is the curved one the left like the curved forearm??
  13. Left forearm assembled. Working on the right... But I've used all my clamps so I need to move on to trimming other parts
  14. Now attaching the pieces together
  15. Started to assemble the left forearm.
  16. When you say "bottom" do you mean down at the wrist?
  17. Starting the forearms today. The first official cut I've seen others go right to the edge but I figured I would start here and remove excess if I need to.
  18. No straps or snaps come with the kit. There are two sheets of abs for the strips. It does have all the hardware to build the helmet (no decals).
  19. So I figured I'd follow the advice I've been given a start a build thread for my ATA kit I just received today. Very excited to get started! Here is the famous box pic. Here are all the pieces
  20. How long is the wait to get it?
  21. Unfortunately the washers will have to stay.. Drill mishaps when trying to get that left ear on... Holes ended up torn a bit... Washers and glue fixed it . Our local garrison expert said it's still good for approval. May get new ears later. Paint and a small enough file will be picked up on the way home tonight
  22. I went with ATA after all my research. Got the helmet first so I had something to work on during the wait
  23. Better? I used a very fine tip exacto knife to lift them off the helmet
  24. Tried to get on the transfer paper... Didn't work. Ended up taking them off individually... And flipping them... Hmmmmm...
