  1. just thought i would show were my Armour build is up to date, plus my glove sounds FX project. i can download up to 5 different sound files on to the board at a time and change to new sounds when ever needed. it cost me just £10.95 to make this.
  2. thanks for the advice guys........ i think i will keep the one in the first picture as i like the figures stance better. i may swop one of the arms i don't know.
  3. hi guys. i got these 2 mannequin dolls cheap the other day for £20 i only need 1 for displaying my Armour when it is finished but the 2 came as a sale. just after some opinions please on which one i should keep that would look better for displaying as they are posing different. you can swop body parts with each other but when you do the only thing is when they are on they are not en-lined up properly and have an over hang of over a cm. when i sell one of them who ever buys it will probably expect it to be fitting right.
  4. decided to lay most of the Armour parts out last night to see just how it's all coming along. looking good so far i think http://www.ukgarrison.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/thumbup.gifhttp://www.ukgarrison.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/thumbup.gif what do you armourer lot think....... the last pic wor lass thought it would be funny to put the trooper to bed. http://www.ukgarrison.co.uk/forum/images/smilies/grin.gif
  5. well it's been glued on now since last night so i guess i am stuck with it now.
  6. i ended up going 1 big and 4 small as i was finding it hard to keep the hole thing flat. the bottom of the strip was resting on the edge of the part were the chest curves off to the side. if you know what i mean.
  7. can anyone tell me which is the correct position of the shoulder cover before i glue mine to the chest plate. i have seen a few in different places. here is 3 pictures that i came across in 3 different places. 7 strips up to the end. 6 strips up to the end. 5 strips up to the end. thanks in advance .........
  8. thanks for the advice Marcus. i will trim the return-edge off later tonight............
  9. hi guys, some update pics of my build. can one of the Armour's please advise me on the bicep size, is the bottom opening of the bicep to large for my arm build and should be shrunk some more. or is it ok as it is? my left bicep is a bit thinner than my right is due to a disability and i can only lift my arm half way up, i can't reach to touch my shoulder. so this will be a bit of a problem when it comes to armoring up.
  10. hi jimmy. it is the 2mm acrylic-capped. the face of the helmet had a crack in it when it arrived. i did glue it but i don't know how long it will last before it spreads. here is a pic.
  11. hi guys....... can i ask how big is the return edge on the bottom of the thighs meant to be....it's just on one half of the thigh section were it has been pre trimmed, it is 5mm wide for about 5cm long and the rest is about 10mm or more. thanks in advance guys...
  12. hi. it is a TM kit. sorry about the bad pictures, the lighting is rubbish in the home at night time.
  13. can i have your opinions on these return edges please. thanks in advance guys..........
  14. well the other ear isn't going as well at the moment as i would like. it is very hard to repeat what was done on one side and do it again in reverse on the other. the issue i have is the other side of the helmet were the 2 half's of the helmet join together. they don't fit very snug together which gives a bigger gap between the 2 half's on this side than it does on the other. i don't know if all Paul's ear pulls are all the same but the right ear is shorter than the left is.
  15. well i have only done one ear as of yet so the risk isn't over yet.
  16. so in your opinion mathias should i thinning them down a bit.
  17. i spent a few hours last night trimming off the 1cm i did. what makes it harder is the back part of the helmet is a few mm further out than the inner part. so the two sides of the ear peace are cut at 2 different levels from each other. if you get what i mean. also you have 3 curves to follow. the 2 sides of the ear peace going down and the top also has to follow the circumference of the helmet. bit of a headache it is at first when starting to trim.
  18. i was thinking they should be a bit thinner. they do take some time to trim down incase you make any mistakes.
  19. hi guys. i am busy putting a stormtrooper helmet together. i have trimmed down the left ear and was wondering do you think the ear is just the right thickness or do i need to take some more off. thanks in advance guys...........
  20. Awesome---------that's a very good build that is. well done mate.
