  1. So should I glue the black rubber trim onto my helmet to avoid it ever moving or will the pressure of the two pieces (AP kit) hold it on place for trooping?
  2. Thanks. I am going to file out a tiny bit more and then start bringing the helmet together.
  3. Can you send me the links? I do not see identifying numbers for the images on photobucket.
  4. My first dry run! NOTE: my right thigh was still drying! Let me know your opinions and thoughts for improvements at this stage before I attach everything. I think my butt is too low...or my thigh is too high....hmmm...
  5. So I discovered that a much easier way to hold the thighs and the forearms together while you put the strips in place is using...TIE WRAPS!
  6. Really? When I run my pinky finger into the four larger openings, it feels smooth. Can you be specific about which areas you think need more? Perhaps draw lines on those areas? I value the input...thanks !
  7. Ok...I think I've got it this time! What say you TK community? There is a white object behind the first big tooth on the picture's right making it look like a "bump" BTW!
  8. No, I am 5'10" 140 lbs. Did you sand away all of the return edge on your bells? I left about 1/8 - 1/4 of an inch.
  9. Just checked yours out. Nice job! Looks great on you, fits you well. Since you have an AP also that helps me out just to look yours over. Tell me, did you have a problem with your bells not quite fitting over the biceps making the bottom of the bells stick out a bit? I am considering heat shaping them but am hesitant as I could destroy them.
  10. Jewelers files and 600 grit sandpaper folded really small...
  11. Thanks! These teeth are really more challenging than I thought they would be...
  12. Ok...do you guys think this is enough filing / sanding???
  13. Very cool! A long time have I watched your build thread. Soon, I hope to join you in the Legion!
  14. Ok...more filing and sanding...so what do youse guys think? Is it good!?
  15. Thanks, good info! I guess I worded one of my questions poorly. I was referring to the ABS strap that connects the chest piece and the back piece over your shoulders. how did you determine its placement where you glued it on to the chest?
  16. This is a great build thread! I refer to it as I build my AP stunt. I have a few questions for you... How did you determine how far in to the chest the shoulder strap abs should go? How did you size your strapping system (for example, the shoulder strap to bell to bicep strap)? Do you have any suggestions on how to size the thighs? Thanks!
  17. Fantastic helpful words, everyone! I am not looking to emulate a particular TK, but desire to achieve Centurion status. I will file more and repost once I think I am done!
  18. I don't think anyone is following my build so I thought I would just ask this here. What does the FISD community think about my eyes and teeth? Am I done filing?! 8^) Or do I need to file them down some more? 8^/
  19. Anyone have a diagram of how their harness attaches functions? I found the snap placement diagram, but all the various ways of making a harness confuses me as to how it functions (what part is actuality supporting which piece of armor). Please don't suggest I use the search engine. I have. I wouldn't ask for help unless I needed it. Your constructive responses are most welcomed! 8^)
  20. Just received a bunch of items I ordered from Trooperbay! Fastest turn around ever! And I am totally re-energized! Thanks, Mike! 8^)
  21. Great! Got any ideas on how to determine where to drill holes for the mike tips? I have an AP setup, but the guide hole dimples seem to be in different locations when compared to one another. Additionally, the right guide dimple is off center.
  22. I know I saw it on the forum once, but cannot relocate it. I need suggestions on how to reinforce the area on the helmet that the mike tips seat in with CA glue and and old shirt. Anyone, anyone...?
