  1. Thank you Brad --- All the big parts are done! I glued the final cover strip to my left thigh and also attached ammo belt to the right. There are no thigh or shin straps yet but what do you think? I think this looks pretty solid.
  2. Sniper plate and back cover strip glued! Little bit skewed from below in picture but looks better with boots. Finally I got correct TD screws. I'll paint them later!
  3. Thank you Sven! Hot water bath worked perfectly. I put shins in the water with painters tape. Tape did all the work! I trimmed my sniper knee plate maybe slightly too much but I think this is okay.
  4. So how this actually happen? Water must be almost boiling (?) and then I put shins to the water. Should I do this with the clamps attached or after bath twist parts to the right places with my hands? After reading this post I became much more nervous
  5. Had to take a small break with my shoulder bells. I noticed that shoulder bells are slightly different (left and right) and of course I tried to fit my left bell to my right shoulder. Argh. So I moved my thoughts to lower body. I got a first problem with my shins. What is easiest way to get my shins lining up?
  6. The past few weeks have been quite busy so not much progress. I trimmed my shoulder bells like Paul said and glued some straps (no pictures yet...). I also almost finished my belt. Just need add the rivet covers. Ab buttons are also glued. Interesting how my belt seems to be skewed (not in the middle) but this is probably the purpose? The hole spots were pre-marked by RS.
  7. I tape my arms together with straps so what do you guys think? My chest plate goes slightly over the shoulder. Is this a dressing issue or should I trim my shoulder more?
  8. Okay! Cod rivet and strap is done. Now when I raise my torso as high as possible it feels VERY good! It also solved my right side dressing issue where was a big cap between ab and kidney. My RS Strapping pack included two shoulder strap with snap. I`m not sure was this deliberately or did I get two right side strap? Some point I wanna change the left strap but atleast now I can strap my shoulder bells and finish my arms.
  9. Thank you Daniel! What about when I raise my cod and my chest goes also higher. Should the shoulders be at the same level as chest and backplates? I keep this in my mind Thank you Joseph! I`ll definitely do that! Yep, I need repaint also my mic tips.
  10. I can put it a little bit higher but not much. If I raise my cod then I have to drop my chest piece? I am not sure where is the ideal place.
  11. Today I assembled rivets to the left side. Before I can strap my shoulders have to test my torso. I think that I may have dressing issues. Is my backplate too low? When I put it backplate higher then my posterior is too high and it doesn`t feel right. (This isn`t my final under suit)
  12. For my standards, lots of progress over here! Right biceps completed and left almost! Unfinished helmet has bothered me for a long time and finally it is (almost) completed. Here is my eye solution: Clear visor where I attached green lenses. Not prettiest but works. At last my thermal detonator. I only need to find correct screws... Not so simple task in Finland.
  13. Yep, I cannot wait that moment Good point. I watched youtube tutorial from RS and in the video cover strip touches the longest part. I didn`t even think possibility to make shorter cover strip Is this a problem when I try to reach EIB or Centurion?
  14. Over a month from last update. I have been a bit busy so not much progress here. My forearms are done! I must fix a little bit right arm cover strip but that is quickly done. I also clued first cover strip to my bicep. I was happy that bicep is much easier part than forearm.
  15. Thank you
  16. Hi Sven! Do you remember what kind of specs you got from RS? I start working these soon and RS shoulder bells are huge before trimming as you know Thank you for the excellent build thread! -Tuomas
  17. Quick update! My right forearm is a pretty much completed. I use some PVC plastic glue which isn`t good. That glue is very stiff and not at all flexible. E6000 has been hard to find in Finland, but now there is a couple shops. So I just ordered E6000 which fix my problem.
  18. Thank you Sven! This helped me a lot!
  19. Thank you Q, Sven and Luc! Sorry for the (very) late response! --- Question time! There is slightly unclear pic 1 and 2. Pic 1 outer forearm part (right) includes a ridge and inner part also. Pic 2 outer forearm part (right) includes a ridge but inner not. Should the ridge be only other side (pic2) or both (pic1)? I wanna be sure that I attach right pieces together Pic1 Pic2 And my helmet is almost ready! Is painting ok?
  20. Hello! Back in business! I started to sizing my forearms and biceps. I am 178cm but my hands are smaller than average so I have to trim a lot. Especially my wrists are "thin". What is the easiest way do this? Should I mark middle of both overlapped part?
  21. Damn! Our first plan was to visit in Stockholm just that weekend but we are coming a week later because of my job...
  22. Hello! First I want to tell you one thing. When I got the armor I thought that I am a very happy if I can build at least level 1. So many parts etc... However, I have built this, I have studied more and of course got a lot of help from you guys! Things are much clearer now. So I definitely build my armor straight to the Centurion! --- I got a little help for painting. My hand shakes too much I will fix top of the vocoder and hovi mic tips. Now it is a little bit messy and inaccurate. I also worked with belt and drop boxes but no pictures yet. Now I have to keep a small break (2-3 weeks). A lot of work, hiking trip and short cruise to Sweden with my friends coming in the next few weeks.
  23. Yes! Ears done! Surprisingly this was pretty easy. And I am pretty happy for the result.
  24. Thank you Dan! Yeah ear is too forward. I took this picture in hurry so I didnt notice
  25. Hello! I have a problem with my helmet. I trim my ears and I noticed a problem. Between rubber eyebrow and ear piece there is a gap. I tried that ear to the other side and it touched eyebrow. So seems that my helmet backplate piece isn`t symmetrical. Can I fix that and how big problem this is?
