  1. All things made new . . .

     

    One of my leg armor started cracking at the edge last summer due to a thigh strapping malfunction that put pressure in the knee area.   It wasn't a show stopper in trooping, so I just put up with it past several months.  I just recently finished repairing it, so I thought I'd share how I fixed it in case it helps anybody else with a similar type costume.

     

    In using the stop-drill method, I drilled a small hole at the end of the crack.  Reinforced with some ABS from behind as well as along the ridgeline, so as to prevent another possible crack in other areas.

     

    Applied PC-7 epoxy and sanded, then repainted.
