  1. Hmm maybe someone else can chime in on what the issue could be
  2. If you have a 3 or 4 digit TKID you will need to add zeros to make it a 5 digit number. for example; mine is 8596, but to get it to display you you would have to have entered 08596
  3. Over the last few days I have been looking around for photo references to help build my helmet. After asking for some input from the original group of troopers, here is what I have for mine. I started with the raw casting & used Easy Off Oven cleaner to remove the release agent, The Easy Off was recommended by Skygunbros & it works really well. Also included are 2 side aerators and one center aerator Here it is with the neck opening trimmed, mold seam sanded down, & eyes cut open and sanded. Here it is after the base coat of white gloss: Here is where I had issues. I looked at all the pics from Celebration Germany and I could not find out the details for the mouth and back of the helmet. Here is what I found from Jon Farmer. The teeth, chin & slots on the side under the temple are gray, as well as, the tube stripe on the back of the helmet & the 2 rectangle boxes near the bottom are also gray. The stock aerators for the sides I got a bit creative. I painted them white but the top I painted black, glued on a piece of a kitchen strainer & then topped it off with a keychain ring for a bezzil. The center one I painted white as well but left it alone (almost like if it was a control knob.) The only part that has to be added that is not painted are the ear designs and the RMQ triangle w/ 6 stripes. The decals are $10 & come from order6t6.com they look like this: the red triangle sits in the center of the gray triangle. {photo of complete helmet coming soon}
  4. OK the last of the painting is complete, aerators and the lense is installed! Only thing I still need are the decals for the ears and back.
  5. Received the new helmet from SGB after working on it for an hour it is ready for paint!! Before After
  6. I should have side by side pics next week. So far each one of us has 2 helmets. We sculpted our own version, I have the SGB V1, & the other guys have the KWDesigns as their second helmet. I will do my best to get all 3 together.
  7. Thanks guys.. Just a bit of an update, I got new biceps in to correct the mistake I made with putting them together the wrong way & I got my hands on a SGB v1 RMQ helmet. This would be helmet # 2 for it and soon I will have a 3rd helmet.
  8. So here it is, our big reveal from this weekend. I am on the far right.
  9. Over the last week a ton of stuff was done, with more to go this week for the reveal this weekend. When I get the chance tomorrow I will take some pics and post them. I can say I did have to add shims to the kidney/abs plate and the chest to back connection as I am a rather big/large guy but I am not letting that be an issue to hold me back.
  10. I will keep my eye out lou. Thankfully he has not shown his head on the SLD.
  11. Bourdon of proof is on you NOT him. The person who needs to stop lying is you. We already know you are not who you say you are, so either provide proof to all your claims or just leave him and the 501st community alone.
  12. damn...would love to see that thread but i have to wait till my account gets validated.
  13. Prove it sir! To this date you have not provided any proof to your accusations. Until you provide any proof you will not be welcome here or on any other detachment.
  14. Lou I wouldn't worry about him. We here know you are a great guy. As of right now he hasn't made a post on BSN. I will keep my eyes out on the SLD and alert my other fellow staff members there about what is going on.
  15. Got some more work done over the last few days. I have all but the chest/neck, abs, & kidney armor painted. The back I finally have the cutouts in and the red triangle painted: I also built the thermo detonator: For the thermo instead of using eyelets and elastic, I got a threaded rod cut to length and bolted to each end. I also have the 2 belt boxes that had additional stuff on them done. The side right box with the zerk (grease fitting) for the laser sword: and the front right box with the gray cutouts painted:
  16. Thanks Kevin. I will be doing that next week once I get shims added (due to me being fat) to my chest. I know I may end up trimming the opening for my arms a bit more once the shims are in place.
  17. Got more parts painted today! The shoulders, outer belt boxes, and the thermo cylinder with cover. I also got the inner thermo caps painted and the back cutouts painted gray: The other parts that I worked on was gluing the neck ring to the chest and the connector plates glued to the back:
  18. The paint I used was the rust-oleum ultra touch 2x semi-gloss. I accidentally grabbed the semi-gloss by mistake, but looking at it it still had a bit of that shine but at the same time it looks like it has been in the elements a bit.
  19. Over the last 2 days I managed to get the arms and legs painted!! In the next few days I plan on painting the cod and shoulder bells along with painting the back, side pieces & belt boxes. Due to my size I have to wait on painting the chest, abs & kidney pieces till I get it fitted with shims and bondoed.
  20. Arturo, Maybe with a few of us in the garrison we can twist the arm of the LMO to make it MQ
