Hi Lee,
Checked on UKG forums regarding your registration problem. Been advised to ask who is your email provider as that may be the problem rather than yourself.
Cheers

I tried to set up an accout on the UKG but it wouldnt let me use my email address because it said i was a known spammer lol. I've never spammed a day in my life. Who would i need to contact to sort this out??

Welcome from the Westcountry! Have you made it onto UKG?
-
Hi Nate,
Welcome from the Westcountry!
Don't worry there are quite a few short troopers and the 501st takes all shapes and sizes!
-
Cool! Don't forget to do an introduction thread on UKG!
-
You will soon be online. Check out this thread if you haven't already done so.
http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/
Remember that different armour types suit different heights and builds etc. so take that into account when considering.

Hi Evan,
The UKG Armourers will give you lots of help and advice and you will also get great assistance here at FISD. There are a great lot of TK build tutorials available here. As they say upload your WIP photos on your build thread and let the guys help you. Remember try not to rush and if in doubt ask!

Hi Dan,
Welcome from the Westcountry! Good to see another prospective UK trooper! Have you checked out the UKG forums yet?

I read that it'll be an Air Ambulance Fundraiser in Shepton Mallet. I was wondering that if it was an event for anybody to attend and what I could do there in terms of meeting up the garrison. Is it a full-on UKG event or will you guys be making an appearance? I apologise for being vague as I don't really know how to phrase my question as I haven't been to an event to know how it's like.
Yes anyone can attend this event as a member of the public. Just look out for the UKG troopers (we won't be hard to spot)! Introduce yourself to one of our spotters (they will be wearing UKG jackets/T-shirts). We will then give you a proper UKG welcome! Basically we are there to help bring in the public to help with fundraising etc. We pose for photos and provide 'crowd control' - 'arresting' unsuspecting members of the public etc.
Come along if you can make it Evan. When you see the UKG/501st in action you will be impressed I'm sure!

I am indeed on facebook. I will put a link to my profile here:

I have not attended any of the UKG events. I've always heard of them but was never sure when the events would pop up. I would definitely love to attend one relatively near my vicinity. My registration to the UKG forums have just been activated and I am currently looking through at the guidelines and all
Cool! We are going to be at Shepton Mallet on the 8th June and near Salisbury on the 14th June. Are these any good for you?
-
Excellent! Wish we could have been with you guys!
-
Hi Evan,
When your registration to the UKG forums gets activated try posting an introduction thread on the public access forum. Just let the guys know a little about yourself and your interests etc. The South West Troopers site is on Facebook but I think it is a closed group and you need to be invited to join in order to view. Are you on Facebook? If so then I will ask the admin guys to see if we can get an invite to the group set up. Have you attended any of the UKG SW Events? It might be a good idea to come along to one and meet the guys and introduce yourself. We have a few coming up soon so let me know if you would like details of where we will be in the next few weeks.
-
Hi and welcome! We have members from Bristol! We even have a South West Troopers group!
-
Welcome! Both my wife Kathy (Ciderqueen) and I are only 5ft 4in and we managed to get get our armour to fit so you should have no trouble! Our armour is AP and we are well pleased with it so it is an option worth considering!
-
AP worked out really well for us! I'm sure you will be really pleased with your armour choice!
-
Welcome from the Westcountry!

Hi Erica,
Welcome from the UK! Both my wife Kathy (Ciderqueen) and myself wear AP armour and we are both 5ft 4in! We found AP to be easy to build and very comfortable to wear! If you need any advice from a fellow short female TK give Kathy a shout!
-
Hi and welcome from the Westcountry! Both Kathy and myself wear AP and its good armour but we are only 5ft 4in. I think it is better suited to smaller troopers. As Steve says body size can be a big factor in deciding what armour to choose. Different armours suit different body types so take your time and research carefully. A word of warning - avoid Ebay!

Hi,
Dyeing black boots white isn't as hard as you think as long as you prepare them properly first. We used super strength nail varnish acetone remover and a scourer to remove all traces of polish first then then preparer that came with the dye. We used Tarrago white dye which you can find on ebay. My wife's boots took about four coats and are still looking good after 17 troops! If you need any help just ask!
