  1. Congrats! good to have more centurions in australia! (i was 1st in qld and aus ) seems no matter which way your name is spelt (sean/shawn) we love to have accurate costumes!
  2. 2 EIB Seans for the Redback garrison? AWW YEAH!!! 5th redback EIB overall, nice work buddy! Congratulations! (now come join me in centurion ranks and we will rule the Redback centurions as Sean and Sean)
  3. ok cool i see what you mean, i will replace that because i think it will make my helmet look better and if i do make changes like the biceps and forearms and elastic, i'll make sure i post them in here appreciate it guys!
  4. YAY thankyou so much guys, I feel proud that i went to that extra effort and that i got Australia on the centurion ranks! i appreciate the advice on making it look more accurate, if you dare venture onto my flickr sets there's a couple of photos of how i made my drop boxes and i made them adjustable with velcro, so it's easy for me to bring them up a bit. I'm not too sure about fixing up the forearms and biceps it might be something i do later with a bit of spare time or if it really bothers me, same with the elastic instead of webbing, i mean you don't even see that much of it so i don't think its a big deal, but that's my personal opinion.. just one thing is what do you mean by the brow trim being angled? would you have a link to an angled brow trim i could use to replace it/ see what it looks like in comparison?
  5. Here are some pictures of my helmet from my EIB thread, these are clearer photos so you can see the decals better, obviously it's vocoder is not fixed and slot screws aren't in but i've fixed them as you can see earlier.
  6. hoping to be the first aussie centurion! on australia day too! close up of my helmet decals are in my EIB thread, and on my flickr page... but i could post them here if it's necessary
  7. Warning! image heavy thread. 8. Ok so here's my green lenses And This is my right shin closed properly with an overlap. I should finish the left one later tonight, so if you need any more pictures or something let me know!
  9. Ok cool, so i can do an overlap thing (underlap the ridge part on the B leg part) but with a coverstrip on the A part of the leg? If not i'll probably do it the way Roguetrooper just described above.
  10. Ok, now i've had some time to get rid of the tonnes of glue on my shins, how do i cover strip it? do i glue it straight on? or do i do it like a butt join but with velcro on one side as in the pictures earlier? I just don't see how the velcro would hold well on only half an inch of coverage...
  11. ummm... i think you guys are misunderstanding, i'm not angry at you or anything and what i meant by " i cannot be bothered hacking away at my shins to fix them up right now" is that i have a lot of stuff on right now with summafieldayze and new years, so i don't have the time to do anything with my shins... now that i have the green lenses in, i just have to fix up the shins right? any advice on how to remove the superglue effectively from my velcro? and to answer your question Billhag, i'm going for EIB because i spent a lot of time going for EIB from the very beggining and put a lot of extra detail and effort into my costume, but im only going for EIB right now, because the Centurion would take me quite a bit longer to do, and cost a lot more because i'd need a non-hasbro blaster.
  12. ^AP sounds really good, i cannot be bothered hacking away at my shins to fix them up right now, and sorry guys its just really bugging me that i paid so much for some of this stuff and it just doesn't turn out to be good enough by such tiny details... i thought i was all done and dusted, i even have 2 snaps and a split rivet on the crotch tab and its like "your shins are messed up and you aren't allowed to see clearly out of your lenses. the world of a stormtrooper is entirely green and no other colour." what the hell.^ So here's my helmet with the green lenses i got with the kit in. they are soft green ones, but i really like my hard dark lenses because i can see out of them so much better...
  13. uhh do they have to be green? mine aren't... but i can make them green relatively easily.. and i cant get the superglue off.
  14. simple fix??? i have to get all my damn tools back out... and find a way to remove the velcro which is superglued on there.. and whats the deal with seeing the back illuminated lenses??
  15. so i have to find slot head screws, get the curves on my vocoder and fix up my shins? silly that none of these things are listed in the CRL... Do i get bonus points if i can kneel?
  16. It's not AM or AP.. it's made by mouldman here in QLD, movie authentic fan made i think you could call it...
