A Tsunami warning was issued for New Zealand northern east coast and was due to his earlier this morning. According the news the initial waves were about 15cm high and increased from about 8.30am to 30-40cm. I havent heard any reports of damage.
We have just had a devasting 6.3 earthquake in my region last month, which was not as big as the one recorded in Japan. My thoughts go out to those people in Northern Japan.
Stay safe.

As far as I am aware there's no rivets on the ROTJ TK armour connecting the back and ab plate together. The belt seems to hold them together, supported by the suspenders holding up the armour.
If you head on over to star wars helmets site there is a topic about a screen used ROTJ suit with this photo showing the strapping of sorts.
You can see there is a suspender type system.

Thats standard FX armour which is no longer produced by the orginal maker, but still worn by a lot of TKs. If you get it you might want to ditch the helmet and get a more screen accurate one as they are oversized.

Well done man. Thats the nicest looking TX armor I have ever seen.

Hi Hadleigh, Welcome to the forums. Good to see another kiwi on board.
You will find a wealth of information here, take you time. My first FX TK build took me roughly a year by the time I assembled the kit and added the extras, boots, holster etc.
But its all worth it when you troop in it for the first time.

Welcome aboard Dallas, good to have another Kiwi on the forums. BTW Your blaster looks great.
You will find everyone here really helpful in putting your kit together.

Thats an awesome looking ESB suit you have there man. Look like you just stepped off the set of Empire.
-
Well done man. That ROTJ suit looks awesome. I cant wait until I finish mine.

That article was in our local paper in NZ. I thought I new all the TK's in my area. Big ups to her though.
-
Thats a nice suit you have there. Dont know too much about PT armour. Good luck with the build.

Wow. I dont think I have seen so many TK's in one place before. Well done UKG.

That thought had crossed my mind.

Ok the backwards writing has me puzzled. Does it mean that these plugs were taken from the same armor that TKcaleb received from TE instead of actual ROTJ suit? The only other option is that TKCaleb's suit is authentic screen used ROTJ.
As I couldn't see TE sending someone screen used armor by mistake that would have to mean that the plugs in question were cast from TKCaleb's armor instead of actual ROTJ armor.
That would also mean that these plugs are AT LEAST one generation from the mould's that GINO has.
Still a nice set of plugs, and TKCaleb now has a very significant set of armor.
Never a dull moment in the white plastic community.
Caleb has sold me the set of armour in question. I didnt realise it was so significant. I am looking forward to receiving the suit more than ever.

There is a guy on Fleabay selling trim by the metre. I enquired as I was after some myself. He seems nice and is based in Argentina. I was going to order at least 3 metres for my kit.

I had an RT mod helmet when I had my FX kit and it is a good match, as per my Avatar photo.

That kit looks awesome. I hope to do a ROTJ build in the near future. Just as soon as my kit arrives.

Hi Mike,
Welcome aboard mate. Really like your artwork. Good to see another Kiwi joining the TK ranks.
You will find everyone here very friendly and most helpful in creating your armour kit. By the way there is a nice ANH helmet on Trademe at the moment which is going for a reasonable price. Dont know if he is willing to ship to the North Island or not. If you have any questions feel free to message me.
I used to have an FX kit but now I am upgrading to a more movie accurate set of armour.
Cheers

I will check out the photos. What type of armour was the TK kit you wore? I have a set of TE armour arriving in the next week or so.

Hi Phil,
Welcome aboard. Good to have another Kiwi in the ranks. The clone armour looks awesome. I myself was going to go clone but have decided to invest my funds into a more accurate TK suit than my old FX.

I now want some armour..... dammit... any real cheap but decent quality suggestions?
Sine you already have a VT helmet why not go with VT armour? I beleive the VT kit is a different shade of white to most other armours out there.
Good luck with your build.
A few pics of my latest build..
