  1. Making great strides on my TK. All limbs have the finishing strips attached, and the ammo belt & sniper plate are both attached. Plastic belt has 45-degree angles cut. Should be able to go to paint withing the next week and a half (here's hoping)!
  2. Finally got more work done. All limbs are assembled, and need to apply the finishing strips. Also need to fit the main body and thighs a bit, attach sniper *& ammo belt and then we should be ready for paint.
  3. Nope!! Been a bit busy. Gonna get back to it shortly.
  4. Thanks!! Yeah, that's what I get for taking pictures in a hurry. But i assure you, it's white.
  5. Got the remainder of the the items I need for my build. Rubber handbacks: Chemical Gloves: E-11 D Ring: S Trim for bucket: Canvas Belt:
  6. Thanks! I'm really excited to be making progress and getting this done. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  7. As promised, here are some progress pictures so far. Helmet -- Almost complete (prior to paining), just needs some longer screws for the ear caps: Upper Extremities -- Assembled and ready for finishing strips: Calves - Need finishing strips & clean-up in back (left needs to be shimmed so it will close): Blaster & Holster (didn't do much to these aside from purchase):
  8. Been quite a while since I have made any progress, but over this past weekend I was able to get a bit done. Got together with a friend and we assembled the upper extremities (both biceps and forearms) as well as the calves. We ran into some issue with the thighs & back of calves not closing properly. We also sized the abs/kidney section. Pictures to follow shortly.
  9. Well, after much procrastination and a lot of help from some friends, I currently have the helmet nearly ready for assembly. All that's left is to fit the faceplate & cap together and then trim the ear caps to fit. I also have the left upper extremities trimmed & glued together and am working on the right upper extremities. Pictures to follow shortly.
  10. Same goes for me. Drop line if assistance is needed.

  12. I have a quick question regarding an E-11. Someone on the main Legion boards is in the process of casting a full rubber e-11, and I was wondering if it would be acceptable for Centurion status? The builder stated his model was based on a resin cast of a Sterling. http://www.501st.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=70925&sid=07009395f10c04b9789cc9599ca4c112 Just curious is all. Thanks!
  13. WOW, Renata! You are a warrior. That is quite a long day!! Don't give up!! It seems tough, but just keep plugging away. Take a break and then pick it back up!! You are doing a great job!!
  14. Well, it's been quite a while since I've posted any progress...and just as long since I've done any work on my build. However, I have been making some progress with acquiring parts for the build. Here is what i have received. TK Boots ANH Holster Neck Seal I am planning on cracking down and getting some work done this coming week, and also planning on attending an armor party next wekend. Hopefully my next post will be filled some better progress.
  15. There is no such thing as "sooo many many questions". Especially when building something such as a TK. "WHAT ARE CORRECT ANH TK DETAILS???????" --> Instead of painting the traps & tube stripes, you can use decals instead.
  16. HOLY COW!!! You're flying through that helmet build. I need to get on the ball if I hope to keep up with you. You're doing a fantastic job so far!!!
  17. So, if I am reading all of these posts right, I don't want to cut off any of the outside of the forearms? I want to keep the same number of dimples on them?
  18. Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely be butt joining everything together. I'll make sure I take my time when doing it.
  19. Okay, here's the first of many questions I am sure I'll have. I've seen lots of talk about butt joining the armor, but is that necessary? CanI get away with simply overlapping the joints and placing the finishing strips over them? Is butt joining a pre-requisite for Centurion status???
  20. Yeah, the filler is quite unfortunate. Hopefully it'll come off pretty easily w/ the dremel. Yeah, I've heard that, too, about the TE2 kit.
  21. I really don't know what the filler is. The person I bought the kit from started working on it prior to selling it and used the filler. I plan on taking a dremel and sanding it off. Yes, I do plan on painting everything. Hoping to take it to an autobody paint shop to paint an even coat.
  22. Despite having just finished my Clone build, I am at it again. I recently picked up a TE2 TK kit and am embarking on the wonderful journey that building a TK. I am planning on shooting straight for Centurion status and make it as accurate as possible. The kit was purchased from someone in my garrison who found out he couldn't fit into it. He had already rough trimmed a majority of the armor, which allows me to jump directly into fitting everything. Here are some pictures of the kit all layed out. My friend and I got together today and started fitting the extremities. I'll take some pictures of them shortly.
  23. They look great, Renatta!! Now I see why you needed the shoe dye!
