Either way having more costumes to drool over is always a good thing regardless what detachment they end up falling under!

Now we know that the Shoretroopers are not the ones in the Tank. So I would assume the new 'Tanktrooper' will be in the Armored Cavalry Detachment.
Makes sense since the US Army has tankers in cavalry units. But going by that reasoning, scout troopers would also be in the detachment too.

I'm 5'5 and a Police Officer with the MEPD detachment. There's guys and gals much shorter than us who have been approved so don't let it discourage you. WTF makes some great stuff so read as much as you can in your 6 week waiting time.

I think it looks cleaner to be able to extend the notch to be flush with the butt plate. I'll be doing this on my sandtrooper since I use shims.

Since I'm not in the detachment, I didn't see this go to vote about the kidney notches. I'll update my notch since I have a shim on my sandie.

See you in the dunes soon!

That's what I thought, not white enough but who knows, there seem to be several pieces of armour on it that are very similar to the TK!
Number one on kit orders?
In all seriousness there are four dets this could reasonably go to, FISD, Pathfinders, Spec ops, and the outlier MEPD.
So far, the Pathfinder det is split as to whther they want it, spec ops don't have it on their radar (they're all excited about the death troopers), MEPD seem happy to stay at one CRL if you follow their threads, which leaves FISD and Pathfinders as the main candidates. It will be an interesting few months, and hopefully we get some good photos of the armour soon!
Unless they are on Mos Eisley, they won't be on the detachment
I've already had a discussion on MEPD on trying to claim ownership to the "heavy weapons troopers" on Rogue One.

I absolutely love my Blaster pouches. It killed me when I had to take some sandpaper to scuff and weather them up. Just did a little sanding on the edges. I used brown acrylic paint and also kicked them around in a dirt patch for weathering.

I don't know any inside information. I just know ATA's wait times are ridiculous. So you're going to have a ATA and TM hero builds?

This looks like a nice alternative to a scout that most guys choose when they are tired of TK/TD's limited mobility. I wouldn't mind doing one of these for an alt summer costume but I still have my hopes on doing a Snowtrooper to use in these NY winters.

Helmet is looking great! When do you get your armor? Sometime 2017/18?

Just need Jason to get his approval and need Kirk to get his PO status!

Take that pauldron off until you dirty that armor! It's like staring into the sun it's so bright.

If I turn off my work firewall I can see all your photos. Guess it's nice to be an administrator

I don't have a problem with the 12v circuit. I was just looking to add options to my current sales items. Making my SHA unit USB powered would eliminate the need for a battery tray. Again, more options
OK I get it. Battery trays are pretty terrible.

I'm curious to know what's wrong with the current 12v setup to your antigravity battery?

For the shims you want a piece acting as the extention flush with the end of the kidney and a insider back used to connect the two parts. Then you fill in the seam with ABS paste, sand, and smooth.

Spoiler: the death star ends up getting destroyed TWICE!

No problemo! You'll need a few troops to fine tune armor bites. I'm still making small adjustments here and there for comfort. I'll never be able to sit down or run but I'll at least be comfortable standing and interacting with people during troops.

Shims look good. You may want to go back and consider swapping the shoulder straps to elastic instead of nylon. It's ok for basic approval though if that's all you're aiming for. Gap from the shoulder bell to shoulder straps are fine.... only TKs need to be touching. Once you have a pack and pauldron on, it's hard to tell let alone try to get them touching. For your knee plate issue, put a piece of foam on the top of the shin and put another on the back of your thigh.

I bought the first version when it came out and my kids liked it for about a day and was bored with it. Those type of games are just huge money pits IMHO. My brother in law has every single skylanders including the variants for the first few of those games. Custom shelves full and now his son could care less about them.

Thanks for the link

I can get undressed by myself but putting things on by myself doesn't work. My wife usually goes to troops with me so she is extremely helpful making sure my belt is on tight and straight. I put on all the armor, side pouches, and she fastens the belt. I put my pack on and get it snug. Once that's on she has to help me with my arms and getting the shoulder bells snapped in place. If I put my pack on after the arms I can't move my arms nearly as much. The pauldron goes on last. Right before leaving the changing area I put my gloves and bucket on.

Awesome post! Crazy how easily those military habits come back. I call the pose where you hold your belt the modified position of parade-rest.
