  1. I thank you for your response. Honestly I have had many many years dealing with stormtrooper armour and issues that they pose and things that arise but I will alway respect another person opinion. I may have been caught a little off guard earlier and as I have said I apologise. I’m sorry but I won’t be changing anything on my current armour as I know that it everything is where it’s supposed to be. I could post some more photos after more adjustments but that’s just for the photos to post here. Like any costume each and every time you suit up it could be different and look slightly different also. I think that the requirements also need addressing. After all why set out a standard that needs to be met only to change the goal posts once someone has posted and done what is required and what has been asked. [emoji2373] So this time I will be saying don’t worry about it. Please withdraw my request.
  2. I appreciate that everyone does this in their own time. I have been a member myself since 2011. Firstly I was not or didn’t mean it to come across as an attack against anyone. The written word can be interpreted in many ways and sometimes unfortunately taken out of context. I give my apologies if this is the way it felt and was taken. So on a personal note from myself my point of view is you cannot tar everyone with the same brush because everyone has differences in weight, height, stature, build etc but the armour will remain the same size regardless of who’s wearing it and it will differ in its appearance pending on body size. We won’t all fit the desired mould so this needs to be taken into consideration for anyone submitting. I have met ALL the standards that are requested in what is required for both EIB and Centurion status so can’t understand why I have to keep messing around suiting up to make such an ever so small adjustment. Yes we all have work, family and lives outside of the 501st and I’m sorry but I don’t have the time as I said to keep suiting up, taking photos and being told almost there. I thank you for your consideration.
  3. I suppose I could dangle my forearms below the shoulders as depicted here but I’m guessing that would be wrong also !!
  4. I have yet to see in Star Wars Stormtroopers stood there with no weapon and with their arms down by their side All the references I see are with them in action, arms up fighting or moving so just stood arms down is not a thing. When suited up everything looks in place and as it should.
  5. I am sure you are aware of Troopermasters strapping system’s so the only adjustment is how and where you put the Velcro on the forearm when suiting up. There is no movement on the strapping between the biceps and the forearms, these are fixed in place. I have tried adjusting as much as possible and ended up with this ! As I have already stated please remember I am tall so my arms are longer than a guy who is around the 5' 10" mark which was the average height of the actors back then. I am not going to keep getting suited up over and over again just to adjust a strap 1 or 2mm for yet another load of photos so that you can again say “almost there" !!!! It states absolutely nothing about this in the EIB requirements - this is just your interpretation. I have met ALL the required elements as stated in the guidelines to be granted EIB
  6. Hi guys. Sorry for the delay but the last set of photos that were taken looked awful so had to wait. Today was at an awesome troop and managed to get someone to take some more pictures so here we go. TD has been moved and now in place and forearm Velcro moved so they sit lower. Please remember I’m 6’ 2” so my arms are longer. Tried setting the forearm Velcro in many positions but a lot of the time the forearm would be below the shoulder bell and that just wasn’t right !!! Hopefully job done now !! [emoji1695]
  7. Hi Kevin and welcome back. I also took a little time off but was a little bit longer - just over a decade !! Also hats off to you. Your line of work is amazing. Salute. 🫡 Also looking forward to watch your journey back. Best of luck sir. [emoji1303][emoji1303]
  8. Brilliant yes mate thanks. [emoji1303][emoji1303] Funny thing is I have the exact same reference picture you do ! [emoji1787] I took a look at my TD and realised what you meant mate and I was able to adjust it straight away so now I just need to get those new photos done tomorrow. 🫡 I’m going to post and request for Centurion as well straight away so can you see if there is anything else that may need sorting out as well in advance for that. [emoji848][emoji848]. Cheers in advance [emoji1317][emoji1317]
  9. Cool no worries. I’m out trooping tomorrow so will try to get a set of new photos done. Also cheers for that VPN thing. Not very technically minded [emoji1787][emoji1787]
  10. So with reference to the forearms it’s just a dressing issue then? Do I need to suit up again then and slightly adjust where I place the Velcro inside the forearm so that when it’s worn the forearms are sitting slightly lower for the photo?
  11. Sorry can’t see any of your reference pictures. !!! Unavailable in my region apparently [emoji30]
  12. The close up shots the soles have masking tape on them - sorry they were taken during dying & painting. You can see from this photo taken on Sunday they are black. [emoji1303][emoji1303]
  13. Hi Andy and welcome. Good luck with your build and look forward to seeing your progress. 🫡
