Glad you decided to come out from the shadows sort of speak. At the risk of sounding nosey have you thought out what kind of TK you would like to build?
-
Tried getting my girlfriend to watch Star Wars for the first time. Didn't go too well.
-
Mind if I ask how the weathering was achieved?

Welcome to the FISD Have you checked up on the Getting Started threads in the Basic Training section? CODMW2 is my fav, can't wait for 3.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the CT detatchment would be able to help you. This link is to the Clonetrooper Detatchment forums, more specifically the Republic Commando thread: http://forum.clonetroopers.net/index.php?showforum=7
Greetings from the FISD

Have you read the Getting started threads? It does have some information about the different armor types. The link is here if you haven't read them: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showforum=38. Welcome to the FISD

I second that Ricky

Very nice to finally see a medic The Bombtrooper sounds like an interesting build. Welcome to the FISD

Just for clarification purposes, I am 5'11 and 210 lbs. AM armor? I too have been having a back and forth with Mighty Tank and I would have to agree with your statements about the excellent customer service. I am currently waiting for more lite kits to be produced and I'm on my way.

You know...if it doesn't clear up...i'm going with that story. The blue milk strikes back
-
Yeah I was thinking about scraping some of it off to get a weathered look. I just don't want it to look a smurf was catapolted into the helmet
-
what would you recommend, 24 or 48 hours? I apologize, I admit I am a total newbie not only to trooping but new to spraypainting, crafting, etc. Learning as I go

I'm not sure if it's ABS. The card trick is working somewhat. Instead of a dark blue, there is a light blue. The light blue seems to be smearing a little. I really want to try paint thinner but I'm not sure what would happen as far as smearing.

I decided to paint my lid tonight and when I started to peel away the tape I thought oh ok I got this. However as I peeled more tape away I noticed the run off.
Please tell me there is hope for this.

EIB is as far as i'm planning to go. AM works out for me in that respect, plus the fact that the kit comes with the hand plates I need. You guys think that RT might be an acceptable replacement for the AM?
-
Hm...I'm about 5'11, 210 lbs. Think I should go with RT?
-
ok well it looks like there is going to be an extended wait period on the AM armor so I have decided to just browse elsewhere for the time being. I then read through each paragraph about RT and CFO armor. CFO is pretty tempting considering I am going to be working on a TKC. Now is the CFO like the AM design where it's just a matter of lining up the edges? RT is this way as well correct? Obviously I will have to get a hold of Sskunky for more info on the CFO.
However, I have an RT-mod helmet and I do believe it would look better with RT armor. Is the chest piece for the CFO about the same size as the RT or a little smaller? I am kinda worried about proportions. Really don't want to look like a bobble head.
Any input would be great.
Thanks!

Welcome Steve to the FISD! Be sure to check out the Getting Started threads if you haven't already: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showforum=38. Any plans yet for what kind of TK you want to work on?
-
ah Steve beat me to it. Welcome to the FISD Josh

Congratulations Kyle

Could try that or a while back I read something about using foam padding on the inside to help hold the armor against your calves. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to try the technique when my armor arrives for my forearms.

Welcome to the FISD Dean. Have you contacted the U.K. garrison? If not here is there website: http://www.ukgarrison.co.uk/site/. Also be sure to check out the Getting Started threads for any questions you might have: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showforum=38. Don't hesitate to ask questions, will save you a headache in the end.

Ya, and we'll get a bunch of HD screen caps out of it as least.
Always a plus
