  1. O.K. I haven't seen any discussions on this in a while, but have any more considerations been made for Legion acceptance of this costume? I am helping out a future Star Garrison member with their armor and he has bought a TK Commander suit, but I wasn't sure of it's membership qualification standings. Is he going to be good to go with this costume, or is that still being discussed? Thanks. Rich King TK-3944
  2. Hey Rich, that's exactly the setup I have now and it works great. I have the amp velcro'd behind the chest plate and I removed the headband wire from the mic and velcro'd it inside the helmet. The mic itself has one cable with a standard audio connector and it plugs into another cable that has a battery and on/off switch box on the end. I attached some velcro to the switch box and when I put on my helmet, I just make the connection and velcro the box in my helmet. Haven't done the mini-speakers though. Good luck. Rich TK-3944
  3. Looks like you guys had fun! Lots of kids, too. That's awesome!
  4. Man, those are great pics. That's awesome work that y'all did. Those kids are the reason that I joined the 501st. Great job, my friend. O.K. on a lighter note.... How in the world is that TK able to kneel???? I think I need to go back to trimming my armor some more if I want to be able to do that.
  5. NICE! Looks like you guys had fun. I miss the schwenksteak over there. Making me jealous.
  6. Cool, thanks. I'll give that a try.
  7. Hey guys. I've read all the posts that I can find regarding sound systems, and I have a question. I recently bought a Radio Shack voice amp and a unidirectional mic element. I wired the mic element to a 1/8" plug and tried it out with the voice amp. No matter what I try, I can't seem to get any output from the mic. I can faintly hear it when I tap on the mic, but cannot really hear it at all when I try to speak through it. When I plug in a set of headphones into the input jack and use it as a mic, it comes through loud and clear. I also tried a microphone that plugs into a PC, and it doesn't work either. Is there something special that you have to do to get one of these unidirectional mics to work? I seem to be missing something. Help!!! Thanks, Rich TK-3944
  8. Howdy: After spending 5 months building my armor from the great tips here on the FISD, I was finally able to apply for 501st membership. Well, I just got my application approved and am requesting my status on the FISD updated. http://www.501st.com/members/displaymember...cfm?userID=9445 Thanks much, Rich King TK-3944
  9. Speaking of Novus, do you guys just use the Novus #2 by itself, or do you use the cleaner (#1) first?
  10. Yeah, I saw it. It was awesome!!! I also agree, Downey made a great Stark. I love the fact that you see a lot more Air Force now in these movies. First Transformers and now Ironman. Aim High!!! Oh, wait... now it's "Above All".
  11. Dude, another 2E2! Awesome! Me too. got 2 1/2 years left.
  12. Wow, that looks awesome. Question for you: I know it's probably out here somewhere already, but what are you using for the scope body?
  13. What size shoe do you normally wear? If you find a larger size boot, are you willing to sell your size 10s? I am looking for a pair, but like you am unsure what size I need to order. Do you have wide feet?
  14. Thanks, that's what I had read, but before waiting the time out, I thought I would check to make sure the email address was right. Thanks again, guys. Rich
  15. Hey guys. I am getting my armor tomorrow (FX Lite) and am now looking for a lid. I wanted to go with RT-Mod. Does anyone know if the email address posted on his website is the right one to contact him? I sent an email to it, but haven't received a reply yet. Thanks.
