Just wanted to let ppl know that TK BOOTS are up and about again . I got mine in there first run and 4-5 years later they still look new!! https://www.facebook.com/tk.boots.5
Thank God! I was getting tired of helping folks look through endless chelsea boot adds. lol.

In my blunt & honest opinion, you should sell your entire FX kit on eBay or Craig's List & then procure a decent one from our vetted vendors....but to answer your question, Vader Dave still sells those buttons in the Ongoing Sales & Project Orders thread.
-
FX helmets are still approvable unless that has changed within the last few days. They just need to meet the minimum standards spelled out in the CRL.
Of course, the very best thing you could hope to do with one is sell it on ebay & buy a decent helmet with that money.

Looks terrific! I wish I could look so flattering as the caped crusader! I have to admit, this is my favorite version of Batman!

Awesome. FB can come in handy some times. lol.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Vern.
I don't believe there really is anything to can do to truly prepare, but simply accept it & grieve in your own way.
The hurt will lessen in time.
My step mother unexpectedly died about a year and a half ago. I can't explain what I felt, but I went through it in my own way.
My father died a long time ago when I was a teenager. I was less prepared for that, but was ultimately happy for him that his long suffering from sickness ended.
I know this is little consolation, but if you ever need to talk, you know how to get a hold of me.

Congrats! And Welcome to the ROTJ family!

At least you know on FISD, you will get a helpful answer.

Looks like he might need to empty his mail box. lol

Yes, a shim, as Kevin describes, is worth trying before replacing the entire pieces.

Welcome to FISD!
Check out that link that Mark posted before you do anything.

If you want to make one just for fun, go for it, but I have to agree, it would be both expensive, and very difficult to make one that's accurate enough for 501st approval.
-
Sorry. Double post.
-
Too late. I have your glass slipper.
-
Welcome Joe. I wish I had some good advise on Halo stuff, but most of the armor I see locally looks like....well, not great. lol.
Have you checked the Prop Replica Forum? They often have good advise.
Maybe someone will chime in on what exactly is the "FISD of Halo"...

I don't have any opinion on his TK armor, but his Imperial Navy Trooper helmets are inaccurate. He makes them like the prototype, & not the ones seen on film.
-
Nothing is really hidden here. It's all in the "Types of armor..." thread. Just avoid eBay. lol.
Oh, and there have been some heated discussions about recasting in the past. It just isn't a hot topic as of late.

Each one should be captioned with, "Nailed it!"

If you are a super accurate master-sculptor & do this kind of work all the time, you might have a good opportunity of sculpting & casting your own armor, but if you just plan to make a suit for just yourself, you might want to consider pre-existing options. AP & TM are both very nice makes of armor with relatively short wait time. Read up about them on this forum & do a lot of research before you spend money on any kit.

Oh very nice!. I love the sharp details!
-
Lookin' sharp there, Jon.
Might be just the picture, but looks like your sandy buddy went nuts with the rivet gun on his armor.
