  1. I think this is selective though. I walked through 3 walmarts and concluded that none in my area had any. The only place in Colorado Springs I was able to turn up was Jo Ann's Fabrics as previously mentioned.
  2. Looking forward to seeing some pictures!
  3. Special thanks to Rob here, he has assisted me in my building since day 1, great pointers and tips to help me finish and we are almost complete. Couldn't have done it without you, and you can be sure I will be able to pay it forward.

  4. My real question is this VT worth it over AP seconds?
  5. Being a recast and using ABS is detail being sacrificed too much?
  6. http://cgi.ebay.com/Stormtrooper-Armor-Helmet-Star-Wars-New-Hope-VT-501st-/250647052255?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a5bba7fdf And can anyone vouch for the quality/construction/bargain?
  7. This stuff can get expensive but it really does work. All of my friends are meat-heads and my roommate just ran through this for a month and gained 15 pounds. He was also at 130 and went to 145. He gained so quickly he got little love handles but he stopped after a month taking and is maintaining 140 with more bulk than before. He was also working out which helped it from storing incorrectly. http://www.massnutrition.com/products.cfm?cur_man=OPTIMUM%20NUTRITION&item=OP065
  8. I think that what he meant was that he actually put his WII away so he is less inclined to play it in general. I actually did this same thing, I work in I.T. so I sit around ALL day and the last thing I need right now in this venture is to go home and play on my xbox360 for all hours of the night. I severely cut back my playing to from every night 4+ hours to just very casual and only once and a while, what also helps me is that I am in the middle of armor building so my focus lies in that as well. On a separate note I weighed in this morning at a healthy 200!, 199 is JUST around the corner and I cannot wait. Zero I saw your 209, I just want to say congrats! I bet that feels fantastic.
  9. Just wanted to update that things are going smoothly. I am cutting things like pasta and trying not to eat so much bread but I am starting to get much better at my cardio workouts too. Typically when I need to stop and take multiple breaks I am lately finding myself needing to take only 1 or 2 breaks and for example on the treadmill I can run at faster speeds for longer now. This morning I weighed in at 201 which gives me hope, I can see that 199 around the corner and once that happens I know that I will be so pumped from all this that I am just going to snowball from there. If anyone has any tips or recommendations feel free to let me know too or questions/comments.
  10. Wow.. you did a fantastic job on that. I was actually considering doing that but I don't know enough about heating this material up to attempt that. Does it look warped at all or does it overall feel like non-stereotyped FX helmet. I do plan on heating my ears to keep shape and not put tension on the helmet but that's about as far as I am comfortable with.
  11. I bought the new AM kit in full which included the helmet. I do plan to replace this but I want to build it first and bone up on my armor crafting. I drilled my ears in an interesting way so an option presented itself that I wanna run by a few people first. Knowing the ears on the FX helmet are meant to go strait down, could I taper the ears to look slightly more accurate than going strait downwards? I attached some pics to put it into perspective. Thanks!
  12. Dont mean to hijack, but I am also working the same goal here as Trooper Zero. Before I knew about this forum I was getting up to 215 and finally I decided it was enough. I have been working pretty hard, stopped all fast food and sodas, I drink PURE water now sometimes unsweetened tea. I try to cardio every day, at least 15-30 minutes on the treadmill even light jogging if I feel like I cant breath ill walk as fast as I can to keep my heart rate at a target 133ish. I work for a hospital and I do IT so I have since stopped taking the elevator when responding to tickets unless I absolutely need to for a laserjet swap or something. We have 7 floors and I frequently visit floors 2-5 a few times a day which is 120+ stairs. I get REALLY tired doing this but I have also built up my legs a bit from stairs and cardio and I have more endurance. Started at 215 probably a month and a half ago and im now 202. I will post my results and activity here and also hope to gain some more knowledge from each person viewing/posting on this to help me reach my goal 165-170. I am 5'10" and 27 years old.
  13. Thanks Panda, that's a great answer. I think I want to only lessen the severity of it, and potentially only on my right bicep. Would you recommend a block or some kind of form underneath it to prevent it from inverting?
  14. I have followed a few threads and noticed like myself not everyone prefers the thumbprints on both biceps as they have been done in Tupperware's new AM kit. My question is has anybody or does anyone have advice if this can be slowly heated with a heatgun and pressed to be less severe?
  15. This thread inspires me to build my AM. Thanks for the progress updates!
