  1. Thanks guys. I have been thinking about how I wanted to do with it. Once I get a neck seal and a holster I'll post a pic to see how it looks and if I want to change it.
  2. Is this available at like Home Depot, Lowes or Walmart
  3. I recently came into the possession of a pre-built TK suit. The owner used newspaper to add weathering to the suit. I was wondering what is out there that can clean and polish it up nice and shinny Thanks
  4. another ATA in the ranks Im working on my ATA kit as well. One thing I can see your "right" eye isn't even with your "left". You made need to sand that down just a bit. Frown looks good too. I too used TK 4510's video to build my helmet. Just follow what he has done.
  5. Then I might have used to much. Its just on one side though. Anything to reinforce it so it get more damaged later do the road
  6. I have the same problem on my ATA. I used it to glue the front side of the shoulder straps to the chest, and after a few days I notice a soft spot on the inside of the chest where the strap is glued on the left inside. Does to much glue cause this or is to much pressure applied from the clamps???
  7. Plus the T-track hasn't been cut out....
  8. I ordered the Humbrol style paint for the tears traps and chin. Also I got the tube stripe decals from tk4510's website. Not sure about shipping out side the US or about getting them through customs.
  9. I hand painted mine. It came out better in my opinion. Plus it makes it more screen accurate
  10. Looks good. Are you going to hand paint the traps and tears and ears or go with deals
  11. Once I have my mic-tips from Smitty it will be complete
  12. Update time....Sorry for the my absence these past few weeks. I, like most of everyone here as a full time job, and this past few weeks have been pretty hectic. But I have worked during my spare time. So here you go.
  13. Hey Amber. You have come to the right place. The F.I.S.D is the best place for research and help. I'm kinda of new here myself. Do you know what style of armor you would like to do?
  14. I did.......and I am pretty sure everyone else has too, so yeah trim your heart out
  15. A little roughness never hurt.....mine has got some. When people ask.......its battle damage
  16. I didn't do the score-snap technique for the lid and cap. Just use some cutters and blade to get the rough spots and sand it smooth. If you look closely on the lid and cap you can see the outline of were you need to trim. This the right side And left...Just don't cut it different on one side like I did.
  17. Plus the teeth need to a little bigger Like this if you can Hope this helps.
  18. You need to bring the outline for the eyes out more. I did the same thing until a guy in my Garrison pointed it out. Need's to something like this
  19. Don't think that happen to me. Just do what your doing now. Draw your outline, score a few times and cut it out. If you have any rough edges just sand it. Just don't cut too short like I did. Thank God for Bondo
  20. A guy in my Garrison showed me this thread. TE2 helmet is pretty much the same as ATA. This is what I used to put my helmet together. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=2066
  21. I now know about the Humbrol paint....and didn't have the Testors paint code. I did go to a hobby shop and he didn't have either paint. Didn't want to get the wrong shade of grey. I have order the paint plus tube stripes from TK-4510
  22. UPDATE TIME!!!! I finally got around to the finishing touches on the helmet painting. Let me know what yall think. Also, I was so stoked about finishing I wanted to go out and get the paint for the tears, frown, etc...Well I ventured off to Lowe's. And after a few minutes wondering around the paint section, I couldn't find the Humbrol brand paint. Asked one of the associates working and said that he never heard of that brand and figured the store didn't carried it. So Wal-mart was next on the list. And wouldn't you know, they didn't have it either. Ticked off I went to one more place(local hobby store) and nothing, 0-3 on my search. Just ordered paint and tube stripes from TK-4510. So I'll have that soon.
  23. Sorry I haven't been updating. I fixed the ear problem. I got some Bondo spot putty and some Backer Rod foam. Filled in the caps and sealed with spot putty. After a few coats and sanding I got it lookin pretty good. Going to start to paint within the week.
