I think he looks fabulous.
Have you decided if he'll stay clean as a mini-HWT or have him go "dirty" and be a mini-TD?
Hey Terry. Thanks for the Kudos. Right now he is liking the HWT title. We are gonna go full TD with it and weather it up, just not sure when yet. I am still planning on taking you up on the weathering. Got his TK boots a few days ago. Now I just have to trim and taper the shins a bit.
BTW...I still owe you a Beret. Let me know what size you are and I'll get one to you my friend!

Just wanted to post some more recent pics of the boy suited up with his custom pauldron. Special thanks to Terry, aka Pandatrooper for the awesome job on the pauldron! I am planning on bringing him on a future troop with me soon. Got the OK from my CO. As long as it's not a Canon or LFL event, he can tag along. I will have to post some pics of that when it happens.
Also got some kids sized TK boots on the way! Should be here in a few days.

Congrats Dan on another EI!
For what it's worth, the antenna on Dan's pack was an "extra" added just for fun.
Made it removable specifically so it would match the game pack and not interfere with attaining EI HWT status.
I'm all about having some fun with creativity while still trying to follow the appropriate CRL's.

Thank guys! He is really stoked about it.
Special thanks go out to Pandatrooper for the screen accurate orange pauldron he made special for my boy.
It came in today and it is amazing!!!!!!!
I will have him suit up again (which won't be too hard) and get some new pics with the pauldron on.

OK everyone. The boys gear is completed! I am going to wait to due some weathering until after Halloween.
He wants to be a "Shiny" for his school parade. He is also going to be entered in a Costume Contest this Friday.
He won 1st place last year with a vintage Robot costume I built for him.
And now for the unveiling.....drum roll please........................
Couldn't find any TK boots in a size 2, so for now I picked up a cheap pair of mostly white sneakers from walmart for about $8 and spray painted them with Krlon Fusion Gloss White.
Had a real rubber tubing neck seal that I got awhile back from Rom/FX that I was able to cut down to his size.
Also managed to put an SEA Small Talk Amp behind the chest plate and hot glue the small mic in the frown.
Got it off Ebay for $9!

Looks killer Dan! Good luck on getting EI!

Finished the inside of the bucket.
Padding installed. Even put some thin padding around the bottom of the lenses (the boy was complaining that the bottom edges of the lenses were touching his face just below his eye).
Also installed a squirrel fan, switch and 9v batt.

Build Update!!
Helmet is basically done. All painting done, tube stripes installed, Neck and brow trim installed, metal mesh in frown, hovis and mirrored green lenses. The hovis are resin cast sceen accurate, but they stuck out way to far so I sanded/trimmed the ends off a bit to shorten them up. Just gonna put some padding in there and if I have time a small fan, maybe a cheap mic and amp.
Here are a few pics next to a full size MRCE Bucket.
Thanks for all the great comments on this! It has been a fun build!

John, the back pack looks great! How old is your son? I have a 6 year old that might fit that armor, but I'm afraid that he wouldn't be as interested in it as I would! I'm sure once he realized how hard it is to move around in it and also see, that he wouldn't wear it that often.
Hey Ryan! My boy is 9, but he takes after his Mom and is a bit on the small side.
The guy I got the kit from is over on the Legion boards, but he said he is taking a break for a while with pulling kits until after the New Year. He doesn't do many kids kits and I think I got the last one he was doing for awhile.
The kit is made to fit someone up to about 4' 5" and max 50-55 lbs. It fits him perfectly so he will only get maybe 6 mos to a year out of it. We'll see. I really enjoyed building it. I would do another if I could find a kit this nice but a bit bigger for him as he grows.
-
Got this kit about a week ago and have been working on it like crazy to get it ready for Halloween.
Surprised my boy with it. He is totally syched!
Building this just like a full size suit with all the same strapping techniques.
Body armor is .060 ABS and bucket kit is HIPS.
Even built a mini TD backpack for him.
Please ignore the red Under Armor and PJ bottoms! LOL
Here are some pics...

I had Trooper 2618, who is part the Command Staff here at the FISD contact me about doing a Heavy Weapons Trooper Pack for him. He is converting his standard TK to HWT and needed a pack that would meet EIB status. He did ask for a couple of "extras" that could be added/removed or turned on/off that would not interfere with FISD EIB. The radio antenna can be unscrewed and removed and the radio speaker doubles as a light ring. I used a screen shot from the video game as a reference and here is how it came out....

Worked on the upper chest and back armor. Decided to try something different here. Connected the front and back at the shoulders first. Then attached the ribbed shoulder straps on top. the sides will line up and be velcroed with a slight overlap. It will have more of a Clone Armor type finish. Shoulder bells will attach via snaps to the attached black elastic strips.
Also got my new Red INC Trooper Pauldron.

Got my 1506 with the wireless setup about a week ago. Absolutely love it!
I will be ordering another set for my new Incinerator Trooper soon!
Thanks Jim!

Figured I would start a build thread here for my new Incinerator Trooper. Was really torn for a while about whether to go Incinerator or
TK Commander. Wanted to do something different than your run of the mill shiny stormtrooper. In the end, weilding a Plasma Canon just seems so much more bad a$$ than anything a TK Commander would carry! LOL
Here are a few pics of my progress so far.
Thighs, shins/calves have all been reinforced on the inside seam with ABS strips.
Biceps are ABS glued at both seams while the forearms are only glued on one side with velcro on the other.
Using a new EFX bucket for this. Already filed out the teeth in the frown to make them larger and painted frown proper gray.
Will be using correct blue tube stripes from TK4510 Decals. Also painted the interior Flat black.
More to come soon!

Great looking start boss! Love the use of the Appliance Paint! Looking great so far!

You know I am in for one Chuck!
I would even be interested in just the main body and stock.

Hey everyone...I haven't been posting here much yet, but just to avoid any confusion, I thought I better say hey. I was posting under username "TD2557" and recently changed it to "Quartermaster". I will be using this name on the "other" SW sites as well. Anyway, great to be here!

John built this for me and did an awesome job. Very creative and its super sturdy! Very comfortable to wear too.
Thanks Ryan! I love seeing my stuff out there in the field! Enjoy it Bro, it looks good on you!

Wanted to share some pics of my most recent HWT Backpack I was commissioned to build for TK3034. I'm not sure if he will be applying for HWT status here or not. I really got creative with the pack and he was super happy with it. Anyone interseted in one, feel free to contact me. I will custom build it to your specs.
Here are the photos!

I agree with Tray, I think your armor looks great Julie. The chest plate on this set looks like someone vacformed a cheap bra. Yours is feminine but also looks like real go into battle and kick some A$$ armor! Forearms aside, don't change a thing Julie.

PM sent.
For anyone else who is interested, here is the link for the July pre-order of the new eFX buckets. Only $159!

Very nice build Brian. You've got the talent, that's for sure.
Here are a few of my scratch built packs.
First is a more traditional ANH pack weathered:
Second is an "SE" pack from ANH:
Third is a custom "Novatrooper" pack based on the ANH packs:

Thanks Terry! The boys would be a hit, that's for sure.
I am planning on bringing him to the USS Intrepid Troop in Manhattan in Feb.
You should bring Logan.
